The Russian Heritage Hotel was very nice. The beds were EXCELLENT; new within the year I was told. This hotel was convenient to downtown & restaurants. Clean & quiet. Would stay there again. A great bargain for the price. The rate was excellent. The room had a refrigerator & full size coffee maker.

Not the fanciest motel, but adequate. I went up to fish halibut in August 2014 and spent most of my time fishing while I was there. Slept hard in an upstairs room since I was tired. Enjoyed eating at Sparrow's restaurant (great pizza) and drinking at the Kodiak Brewery which are both next door. McDonald's is only a block away... More

Arrived on the island in the evening and checked in. The room was very run-down and smelled pretty bad, like something somewhere was rotting. It had been a long day and I figured I'd head across the street for a beer and a burger and then ask the people at the main desk if it would perhaps be possible to... More

This Hotel is stripped down basic place to stay while fishing in Kodiak. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very, very basic. Small flat screen TV, single beds, small bathroom, and smoking allowed outside each room. No ice or vending here. This is all ok for guys, but most ladies may not like it. The weather... More

The property is older but affordable. The location is within walking distance of all of the downtown Kodiak area. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We had a couple of issues with other travelers the first night but the staff was so proactive that our one night stay turned into four nights.... More

This is an older, but affordable hotel. It suited me just fine. I have been to Alaska a number of times, but had never been to Kodiak before, so I flew over for two days. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and there is a computer for use in the lobby. The hotel is in the center of everything:... More

This is the quintessential bare bones hotel. The rooms are not pretty at all, but you tend to forget about that once you start hanging clothes everywhere. Who knew clothes could be used to decorate?! That said, I really must say that the help at this spiffy place are more than helpful. They are really so nice. The place does... More

This hotel is either awful or perfect. If you are looking for 3 star place or better to take your wife you will be very disapointed. If you are looking for a guys fishing camp with a roof and shower it will do just fine. Examples: kitchen but no dinner plates, carpet but large stains, furniture but not matched, bath... More

The place is old and the upkeep is not that good. It was very stinky with cigarette smoke. The wifi would not work. When you go outside it will have full reception, as soon as you walk in the room it would drop to nothing and just wouldnt load. If there is no other choice than yes this would work... More
