On a "whim" of a trip to Kodiak Island, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at A Channel View B&B... it was nothing short of perfect! Ron and Mary's beautiful home provided the perfect place for respite after a long day of sightseeing. Staying in the Seaglass Room was perfect for us; it had an very comfortable... More

All of the previous reviews prepared us for a special visit, but reviews could not compare to the real thing! I will say amen to the friendliness of Ron and Mary, the gourmet breakfasts, the scenery including sunrise and the sea lions frolicking during breakfast, plus time to peruse their antique book collection, their fossils, and discussions of Alaskan artists... The hosts, accommodations, the food, the view, - all superior! Our warm welcome began before we ever arrived. Quick replies to emails, great advice on the best time to purchase our Anchorage to Kodiak airline tickets, what to see and when, spotless apartment, the delicious breakfast, the privacy ... it was all first class! We weren't disappointed and you won' be... More

I was fortunate enough to stay with Ron and Mary for 10 nights. They are excellent hosts, they have a beautiful home and their standards are very high. The food was excellent, as is their hospitality, Their help and assistance and local knowledge made my holiday a truly outstanding event, nothing was too much trouble for them. I went as... More

Thought we were staying just for the lodging, but we got more than we planned on. Visited our daughter in Kodiak and stayed in the Western room; it was beautiful! The breakfast was a real treat and nothing like we've had in previous travels. Mary and Ron are such gracious hosts, and we received outstanding recommendations of sights, trails, and... More

I really appreciated getting to know Ron who was an excellent breakfast cook. The Channel View lived up to its name as it looks right into the beautiful channel for the Kodiak Harbor. Although my little room was nice, it was noisier than I thought it would be. The floors above it echo the footsteps down where my room was... More

Oh dear! It was an oversight not to point out the lounge that our B&B guests migrate to with the natural granite fireplace and Alaskana decor. We do wish that you had asked us! Thanks, also for reporting that footsteps on the hardwood floor can echo downward to the Sea Glass room. Now that we know that, we will be... More

My husband and I enjoyed a comfortable two night stay. We appreciated the maps and advice. It was nice to have access to a washer & dryer. The bed was comfortable and the view lovely. There was a Keurig coffee maker and an electric tea kettle available for anytime use. It was nice to have an in-room fridge. I highly... More

The Channel View B&B lives up to its superb reviews. Yes, the breakfasts are delicious, the host are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and the views are stunning. We had a wonderful stay in Channel View. We did not stay in the apartment but in well-appointed and comfortable bedroom. Channel View is everything a B&B should be!

Don't know how anyone could top this B&B! The location is very convenient and the view of the channel is spectacular! The suite we stayed in had a private entrance and everything we needed. It was so quiet and relaxing to come home to at the end of our 5 long strenuous days. The breakfasts were delicious and "picture perfect"!... More

The Channel View is conveniently located, but is tucked away from traffic and local noise. Mary and Ron are fully committed to providing the very best facilities and service possible. They were attentive hosts whose desire to provide a great experience to all their guests was readily apparent. I found the apartment to be ideal for my 3-week stay and... More
