The Lanercost B&B countryside location is beautiful. We spent one night at the B&B during our Hadrian's Wall Path Walk. The B&B is located next to Lanercost Priory which is amazing and should not be missed. Our second floor bedroom was not large, however, it was more than adequate for one night. The bathroom was spacious, clean and had a... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay but have to admit that your review is the first ever to leave us perplexed. It is six months since you stayed but; We don’t have a 2nd floor, the rooms are on the first floor and all lead off a spacious landing, walls are thick and no bedrooms are... More

A very warm welcome to Lanercost B n B, met at the door by our host Bob and tea by the open fire. A look around, then a wonderful three course meal cooked by Christina, with matching wines selected by Bob. Good room with lovely outlook over the fields toHadrians Wall. A full breakfast ( including local kippers) to set... More

A very spacious and comfortable luxury B and B, in a very impressive house, in close proximity to Hadrian's wall. The Priory and Church right next door are beautiful and well worth a trip on their own even if the Wall has no appeal. Spend a delightful time having tea with Bob on our arrival, and had delicious breakfast the... More

Lanercost B&B was our base for 2 days walking on Hadrian's Wall, which is only half a mile away. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every moment. Bob and Christina were so welcoming and the other guest we met were delightful. Christina's cooking really deserves a Michelin star (or two). Breakfasts and dinners were a delight - creative and... Our visit was brief but memorable. It started with dinner after a long day of hiking. Christina made us a meal to remember. We are still talking about the Egg nest. Bob is an excellent host. Mutley was entertaining with his game of Stone. Beautiful scenery, interesting chickens. Can't say enough good things about the place.

Stayed here for 1 night on our Hadrian's Wall walking holiday. Bob and Christina Lamb were excellent, friendly hosts. The house was impressive and was situated right next to Lanercost Priory and Lanercost Priory ruins. Our room was large with a huge, comfortable bed and a fairly large bathroom (shower only) and both were spotlessly clean. Excellent tea and coffee... More

What a wonderful B and B - we loved every minute we spent here - tea and cake, a delicious dinner with lovely wine, such kind service from Bob and Christina and comfy beds and hot showers and baths. We had an enormous breakfast the next day and headed off back to the Wall fortified by a wonderful evening at... More

We needed somewhere to stay so we could be near to family who were celebrating special events. Lanercost B & B made it extra special. It is in a lovely rural location beside the Priory and church, with a shop and cafe on site. The River room had lovely views and was very comfortable with a large bathroom with shower... More

We stayed on Monday 17th of August for an overnight stay on our way to Edinburgh for the tattoo. We arrived in the afternoon, visited the Priory and had tea and cake in the garden. We were entertained by Mutley the owners spaniel who was great fun! The room was very comfortable, big shower, comfy bed. We enjoyed a good... More
