I stayed for a weekend at Sugar Ridge for a solo yoga/meditation retreat from June 5-7. I was apprehensive about travelling solo and if I would be able to "keep up" as a beginner to yoga and meditation, however after corresponding with Liz and Kurt, I was instantly put at ease. They are spectacular hosts and made me feel at... More

Hosting our weekend retreat at SugarRidge was an absolute delight ! Not only were the surroundings beautiful, welcoming and vibrating with good energy but I felt very at home immediately. Delicious food, comfortable and cozy cabins, gorgeous communal hub centre and acres and acres of nature surrounding it's impossible not to want to stay as long as humanly possible. As... More

My partner and I spent a weekend here in March during a Silent Meditation and Yoga weekend. The food was incredible, the hospitality was second to none and we both left feeling like new people. As an early riser, it was wonderful to have access to the main centre to make a coffee, sit by the fireplace and feel so... More

Sugaridge is easy to find nestled in a beautiful country side. Expect a warm welcome from co-owner and host Liz, whose gentle presence welcomes you home. Cabins are unique, cozy and beds are very comfy. The food tastes of love and care as every dietary need is met by Liz, her sweet husband Kurt and Samantha. An abundance of trails... More

On my drive up to Sugar Ridge, I learned of the Japanese concept of Shinrin-yoku, which means 'forest bathing.' It is to immerse oneself in the forest. There is plenty of that at Sugar Ridge as the cabins are set in the forest and there are plenty of trails to keep you meandering for hours, days. The forest is incredible... More

We had such a wonderful experience staying at Sugar Ridge in the middle of winter for Family Week and March break. Our three kids loved the adventure of staying in a winter cabin and really enjoyed going snowshoeing and exploring Wye Marsh. LIz and Kurt were extremely welcoming and put so much care into the place. Loved the food -... More

My wife and I visited Sugar Ridge for 2 nights in the thick of winter. We were looking for a place that would take us away from the busy-ness of life in Toronto. Sugar Ridge was just the perfect getaway. Accommodation: The cabin was great. Beds were clean and comfortable. The only issue was that our cabin heater was not... More

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review! It's much appreciated. In the winter we do turn the heat on in cabins quite early in the morning - before 9am. If I recall correctly, it was incredibly cold that weekend and you arrived fairly early in the day so the cabin hadn't had much time to... More

My husband and I needed some time offline and away from the hustle and bustle. We went up off season for some much needed rest and relaxation! The food is amazing and hard to believe that it is good for you and the yoga classes were the perfect way to get some exercise in in between naps, reading and just... More
