We spent a week there the end of October. Five adults in a nice 3 bedroom Condo traded through RCI. It was very comfortable and well decorated. It was a back corner room with a view of the bay and the Mountains. No road traffic noise and little noise from neighboring rooms. The pool and hot tub and area was... More

This was an RCI exchange and the place was very nice, as this was our base we ventured out to Mt.Baker,Mt.Baker Winery,Vancouver B.C. and some of the surrounding area. Taylor Shellfish off of Chuckanut Drive was a very interesting stop. Bought Dungeness Crab and Mussels. And learned all about oyster framing. Bellingham wa. is a nice place to visit.

We stayed at the Sandcastle August 15 for 6 nights as a time share exchange. Upon arrival, we were not impressed because the bay had no sand beach and the building is unimpressive. However, it proved to be in an excellent location for seeing the sites we planned to visit. The front desk staff were very accomodating and friendly. The... More

Gorgeous condo resort-great swimming pool and hot tub-fantastic views of Birch Bay and Mt Baker..large family activity room-all condos and public areas immaculate-professional and helpful staff-the entire area of Birch Bay is level-so you can ride bikes(or walk)for miles along the water-the tide goes out really far-and the sand is perfect for building sandcastles or just walking along and looking... We had a three bedroom, 3 Bath Condo over looking the Bay. We had a balcony, full kitchen, dining & living room. We stayed two nights and they included maid service each day. The only short fall was no Air Conditioning, but they had fans and the weather wasn't that hot at times it was cool. The accomodations were fairly... More

We stayed at the Sandcastle while on a family roadtrip vacation. We stayed there for a week in the three bedroom two bath unit that sleept 7. There is only three units in the hotel that sleeps seven. The balcony was facing towards the parking lot but there was a veiw of the bay. Our unit was on the fourth... More

We were 3 friends meeting in a central location with the purpose of catching up with each other and visiting Vancouver and Seattle. The resort was convenient to both locations. We had a 3 BR/2BA unit on the 4th floor (a timeshare trade) which was plenty of room for us; we had a view of the beach and Mt. Baker... More

We were lucky to be given an ocean view unit and were able to watch the many sea birds that frequent the area. Although on a mainroad, we were not disturbed by the traffic as Birch Bay was not busy during our visit. Our unit had a huge wooden bed with lots of scatter cushions in the master bedroom with... We did a timeshare exchange with our unit at the Westin in Cabo for the Sand Castle in Birch Bay and were very pleased. First and foremost, the rooms were spacious, well appointed and very CLEAN. Being as we are traveling full time, we very much appreciated the stackable washer/dryer in the unit and were delighted that we were supplied... More

We just got back from an enjoyable midweek stay at the Sandcastle @ Birch Bay. I asked about reserving a bay-view room when I made my reservations, but was told that rooms were assigned only at the time of check-in. We got in late on Tuesday night and there were no bay-side views available when we checked in. While we... More
