This place boasts some wonderful bedbugs that chewed up mine and my girlfriend's arms. After showing the staff the next morning my arms, there was no "Sorry about that" or the slightest hint of apology. Instead: "you take another room yeah." We decided to take our chewed up arms and move. On the way out though, all of a sudden... More

The location is probably the only good thing about this old and run down hotel. The garden is unkempt, poolside chairs - old and half broken, in the territory some bungallows are half collapsed and taken over by the jungle. The worst part though is the sad state of plumbing and bathrooms. Toilets would not flush and the room stinks... More

Kuta Lombok is short on decent, reasonably priced places to stay. Many are unfortunately looking "tired". This place fits the bill as a place to stay for a night or two. We turned up and arranged one of the larger poolside villas for 400,000Rp per night(posted was 550,000Rp). Generous sized, split level older Balinise styled room with separate outdoor bathroom.... The staff is realy friendly but the rooms and the accommodations seems to be a bit old. It's a big place with some balinees influence wath makes it a nice atmosphere but too bad that it isn't all well maintained, the pool is nice but the room we had was not more than ok.

Not a bad place to stay while in Lombok. I stayed here in October 2012 for 2 weeks and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were nice, beds were somewhat comfy, and free breakfast is included. There were 3 of us in our room which made the cost $5.66USD per person per night!!! Best part about this hotel is... More

Friendly hotel (not B&B) reasonably central in Kuta. Variety of rooms and villas from simple cold water to huge villas located in a large garden with a small pool. You get what you pay for, so don't complain if you took the cheap room and didn't get hot water... Upkeep, as almost everywhere in Asia, is lacking, but having said... More

We stayed there for three nights. We got a great price: 125 000 Rps/night. The staff was nice but didn't overdo it either... The room was very clean and the bathroom too BUT everything is getting a bit old, the bed was not very comfy. We got kid's sheets! Great room for when you are on a budget though GREAT... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Matahari Inn in Kuta, Lombok, and overall thought it was a good value. Although our guidebook said the Balinese decorations were overdone at this place, we actually liked it (though maybe it was also because it was in such stark contrast to Sumatra, from where we had just been traveling before arriving in Lombok).... I have been travelling in Asia for over thirty years and this has got to be the worst room I have ever stayed in. Because of the extreme bad weather in the Lombok Strait, we were forced to stayed near the new airport in Lombok for one night, The closest accommodation is in Kuta Beach, We tried many hotels and... This was once a very grand hotel with beautiful grounds, random art objects strewn around, a nice pool and pretty rooms, some with lovely decorations. It is also somewhat decrepit, in a romantic rather than a gross way. Our ceiling fan had lost most of its paint and was covered in some kind of growth, the sheets and towels were... More
