Very comfortable overnight stay. Reasonably priced. Good food. The staff is friendly and polite Lots of doors and corridors to get to your room, but you find it eventually! Only downside is no wifi in the room. The wifi is only available by the reception area and restaurant. It is advertised that the rooms have free wifi. The management should... More

The check in was ok - had quite a journey to my room and had to go right around the hotel. It was ok but very dated. Bed uncomfortable. I felt ill before arriving so didn't perhaps feel as tolerant as I should. Despite having a wifi booster in the room it was rubbish. The onsite restaurant provided a lovely... More

Spent 1 night here on business. The room was above average size with everything you needed. The bed was extremely comfortable andI had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was all you would expect. My colleague and I chose smoked mackeral with a poached egg, all cooked to perfection. We ate our evening meal in the bar area which was a... More

Went here for a family lunch on New Years Day.Had visited several years ago and expected the ambience and service of the hotel to be similar.Other than the chef and his food everything else was shabby, service could only be described as 'ok' and the hotel itself was in need of refurbishment.Hotel ratings below have to be poor as there is... My daughter had her wedding reception here about 15 years ago.It was an excellent day and the cuisine was first class. This was the first time in a long while we returned .We were booked in for a family Birthday party on 30 December. There was a good choice offered on both menus at varied prices. All our party ordered different... More

Had our works Christmas Party here on 12 Dec. The party was great fun with very good food on the carvery. Starter and mains were good too. The hotel room was very dated and the shower was not very good. Hot but no power to the jets. Breakfast was very good though. Great party but the hotel could do with... More

we had our office Xmas do, with an over night stay on the 12th and apart from a few tiny blips the party and the stay over was perfect, the food was as described and well cooked, we were a party of 16 and between us we sampled the whole menu and everybody was happy. First blip booking in the... More

Food served did not match original description on the prebooking menu form as provided by the hotel. Roast Pork with crackling. No crackling as the roast pork was obviously steamed not roasted. Three people had poached salmon. This was inedible. Looked like long term/cheap frozen fish that was either not cooked or overcooked and colour was very white not the... More

Just one night here and generally the stay was very good. My room (number 7) was clean and comfortable and not remotely noisy like one previous room suggested. Free wifi throughout but some areas had poor signal. I ate in the bar that night and was a little disappoints that instead of a beef and ale pie served with hand... More

I now stay at the Best Western Cross Lanes everytime I travel up to Wrexham whilst on the job there. The beds are comfortable, the food is of very good standard and is reasonably priced. The bar has local ales on tap including ones that have won awards across the country. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. They... More
