We stopped by for a drink whilst on the way to visit family. The Hotel was in a lovely setting with a very friendly atmosphere, then to our great suprise Tom Jones walked through the room, we could not believe our eyes. It was only later that we learned that they had a Tom Jones tribute night on the same... More

This place is a little gem and having stayed in a Premier Inn for the last 4 nights, this place is like gold dust! There is a quiet little bar with no TV, but if you've got wifi you can utilise this with your iPad. There is no faff or hassle to log into the wifi (unlike the Premier Inn!).... More

Arrived to be told that the dining room had been 'let' for the night due to a function and that unless we wanted to eat at 7pm, they couldn't guarantee a meal...so had a pint at the bar and booked a cab. Reception was sparsely manned and the chef came to our rescue, recommending not just a cab company but... More

This is an excellent example of an individual Best Western Hotel near to Wrexham. Excellent facilities with great food and friendly staff. I would recommend the restaurant to residents and non-residents. The choice is wide, well presented and brilliant to eat.

Room so small had to store luggage in bathroom. Bed was small and the hardest we've had in UK. Could feel springs in mattress. Think they have well and truly reached use by date, Don't know about resaurant as was not open. Requested soft bed and got the hardest in the place.

We stayed for a week, the staff were friendly and helpful and very efficient. The hotel had all the amenities of a modern hotel with the bonus of the atmosphere of a country house. The staff were very attentive without being obtrusive, the choice of restaurant, or bar was available, although the bar and restaurant menu could be served in either.... More

I stayed at this hotel (a single room) for three nights on a business trip. The room is a bit small but very clean and cosy. The food is amazing! I like their breakfast and dinner very much. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Only two things I think the hotel could improve: first, the shower has... More

We stayed for two nights at the Cross Lanes Hotel, with payment for the accommodation with Tesco Vouchers, so it felt cheap and painless. The hotel is an old style coaching house with a grand entrance hall and nice rooms. On the first night, we had room 7, which has a very soft (and lumpy) bed so we asked if... More

A very interesting buiilding with many period features although all our rooms had been updated and were very comfortable and clean. The food was very good and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The Hotel stands in its own large grounds which are well cared for. I will certainly be going again. We were on a... More

I stayed with 4 friends at cross lanes for one night - before doing the welsh etape cycle race on the Sunday. They were extremely welcoming and nothing at all was too much trouble - they made a special pasta dish for us ( which was great) and the chef got up especially early to make us breakfast. All service... More
