Stayed here for a couple of nights, it's a little dated, staff were very nice and helpful, restaurant was good, food was ok nothing fantastic but enjoyable. Bedroom was comfortable, bathroom had a shower and bath, we were visiting relatives near by and our hours were a bit erratic, but they were very good gave us a key so we... More

There is not a huge choice of hotels in the vicinity and Cross Lanes is convenient for a night’s stay in the area. The hotel is easy to locate off the main road with ample free parking, set in large grounds. Check-in receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a room with a double and single bed, the... More

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights B+B , and also chose to eat in every night. Nice quiet location for the hotel , but still very near a main road so easy to get out and about. Plenty of on-site parking and the grounds were nice and we saw plenty of rabbits , squirrels etc which pleased the... More

Travelled here with another couple of friends who stayed with us so that we could meet up with another couple of old friends who live locally to the hotel. Had a lovely dinner together and quite a few drinks in the bar afterwards. Really enjoyed this get together and we were touched by the nice card in our room from... More

I have lived in N.Wales for the last fourteen years and in Wrexham for the last six, so I can't believe that I have only just discovered this excellent establishment. I found them by chance on the internet after searching for a venue to hold a function, and decided to go there for lunch and take a look. When we... More

3 course pre ordered lunch as part of a large group. To start tomato soup which tasted like Heinz. (Not that I have anything against Heinz), main was chicken with two extremely overcooked tiny pebble sized potatoes in skins and some frozen veg. Sweet was cheese cake, nothing special. Personally I would be embarrassed to serve this food, the main... More

We were not staying at the hotel but booked a table for the Afternoon Tea (£11.95 per head). This included fresh brown and white sandwiches with a variety of fillings, and these were very tasty. The tea (hot and freshly made) and coffee (hot and strong) were very good, too. The cake stand, however, was very disappointing, offering only small... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel two weeks ago. We cannot recommend this highly enough! The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive and a pleasure to be around. We absolutely loved the room and the staff could honestly not do enough for us. The breakfast was in a gorgeous room and was beautifully cooked and high quality.... More

Stayed here for two nights, the staff were warm and welcoming. We ate in the resaurant both nights the meals were hot and service good, but they were nothing to rave about. The room was large and comfortable, however it was very cold the first night even though the radiators was hot. Water was very hot in the morning but... More
