This b&b must be the best in York, or even Yorkshire. The room was perfect - clean, spacious and very comfortable. We we're greeted with an offer of tea/coffee and home made cake, even though there were facilities to make a hot drink and biscuits in the room. Deb and her family were so welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with lots... More

Although we arrived in the middle of dinnertime, we were promptly and cheerfully greeted. After being shown to our room, we we brought fresh tea, coffee and homemade cake and we were asked whether we would like a dinner reservation made anywhere! The owners have great local knowledge and plenty of suggestions. It's in an ideal location as it is... More

This B&B is modern, clean, nicely decorated and with all facilities, including good wifi. Plenty of parking. As a light sleeper I particularly appreciated the soft down and feather pillows! Breakfast is excellent - it automatically included 2 eggs and those home made bread and jams... The accommodation is a good 4 star, the breakfast 5 star and the hospitality... More

Got here very late and found cake and a welcoming clean spacious room and comfy bed after a long drive. A real good english feel to this place and breakfast was served at a good pace and delicious. Courteous and... More

This is our first trip to England, and we planned to tour the major cities in England> from the south in London, to Bath, to Oxford, to Cotswold, to York to Lake District to Edinburg. We had the opportunity to stay in really budget places to really expensive B&B. But Primrose Lodge is the best in all counts. We arrived... More

Last weekend me and my friend stayed over here before our last part of our cycle ride(way of the roses)!!! After our 65 mile ride that day ,in pouring rain, we were greeted with a warm cosy room, and a much needed cuppa, and a slice of chocolate cake..... How nice!!! The room was perfect really!!! Our bikes were safely... More

After spending two days in the Lake District, we headed to York and, again, my Hubby booked another wonderful place for us to stay. We arrived and was shown to our room. Very clean, beautifully decorated, spacious room, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table. We were offered tea or coffee, even through there were the facilities in the... More
