Situated high on the western side of a hill at 500m altitude, an hour’s drive north of Chiang Rai, this resort is a blissful haven of peace and epicurean delight. We stayed in zone 7, positioned at the highest level. All the accommodations are bungalows made of bamboo, with some delightfully designed rustic features. The resort facilities are laid out... To start off with, yes, it is expensive but so beautiful and peaceful! We stayed only one night but would have loved to stay longer. The rooms were bright and spacious and just stunning with everything made from bamboo. Lovely views from the patio and nice big bathrooms. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and you just want to sit in... More

We arrived a few days before Christmas, earlier than check in time, but our casita was available. It's off the beaten path about 40 minutes from the Chiang Rai airport, and once you're there, you stay put, or hire one of their drivers and car for the day. They have an excellent cook and the breakfast buffet is great. We... More

Located on the mountainside, this place is really one of a kind. Throughout my 3-night stay here in December when the weather was cool, if felt like I have stepped into a fairy-tale-like garden resort. The resort is surrounded by so many types of beautiful flowers and trees - everywhere you turn is picture perfect. The resort is built rustic-style... More

Great: Puh Chaisai.. (Mountain of Kindness in Thai).. is indeed full of kind hospitality from the owner to staffs.. Quiet and nice scenery right from individual balcony. I stayed in "mountain deluxe" so the view is toward the west part of other hotel from far away. Since there is no television,no WIFI offer so ones can tame themselves to be... More

Excellent stay. Well worth the trip with very good staff and owners. Will come back to this resort. You will have to be in pretty good shape as there is some rugged walking to do. The view is excellent here with the right weather "Winter would be better" for your stay. No need for long pants.

We stayed one night with the family ,nice large rooms, the outdoor deck was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. I asked to have another bed made-up in our room and they sent four maids to do it

We were travelling through Chiang Rai by car and had not booked anything beforehand which turned out to work in our favour. We were visiting a nearby hotel which we decided wasn't for us, and by chance drove up to Phu Chaisai. The online prices were more than we were planning to pay but we were intrigued since we saw... I was there for second time - because I love this place. It is not brand-new and not luxury. But it is so charmful, so quiet, so lovely, so green, wonderful pool in the middle of the mountains- perfect spa. This time we stayed in the pool villa. We had a lot of rain. But we used the small pool.... More

We stayed two nights in room 401 (Deluxe Mountain Cottage) so we had a full day of rest. The mountain resort is made for a day of relaxation and enjoying the view as it is remote. Make sure you have a cottage with a balcony so you can sit outside. A spacious cottage with a good bed, shower, coffee and... More
