Great: Puh Chaisai.. (Mountain of Kindness in Thai).. is indeed full of kind hospitality from the owner to staffs.. Quiet and nice scenery right from individual balcony. I stayed in "mountain deluxe" so the view is toward the west part of other hotel from far away. Since there is no television,no WIFI offer so ones can tame themselves to be... More

Excellent stay. Well worth the trip with very good staff and owners. Will come back to this resort. You will have to be in pretty good shape as there is some rugged walking to do. The view is excellent here with the right weather "Winter would be better" for your stay. No need for long pants.

We stayed one night with the family ,nice large rooms, the outdoor deck was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. I asked to have another bed made-up in our room and they sent four maids to do it

We were travelling through Chiang Rai by car and had not booked anything beforehand which turned out to work in our favour. We were visiting a nearby hotel which we decided wasn't for us, and by chance drove up to Phu Chaisai. The online prices were more than we were planning to pay but we were intrigued since we saw... I was there for second time - because I love this place. It is not brand-new and not luxury. But it is so charmful, so quiet, so lovely, so green, wonderful pool in the middle of the mountains- perfect spa. This time we stayed in the pool villa. We had a lot of rain. But we used the small pool.... More

We stayed two nights in room 401 (Deluxe Mountain Cottage) so we had a full day of rest. The mountain resort is made for a day of relaxation and enjoying the view as it is remote. Make sure you have a cottage with a balcony so you can sit outside. A spacious cottage with a good bed, shower, coffee and... More

I can imagine this hotel dividing opinion. If you've come to the Thai highlands to eat Pizza then this isn't for you- I saw someone having one and it looked awful. If you've come to the thai highlands to watch television - there isn't one (what a welcome change). This is a place full of beauty and rustic charm. The... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in the wet season. if you want peace, relaxation, a stunning view, spacious comfort, lovely attentive staff and a very pleasant pool then this is the place for you. The only draw back is that the food (except breakfast which is great) does not live up to the quality of the rest of the... More
