Quite a far way out of the city, this place is very secluded and perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy cities. It's surrounded by hills. The service is great and the rooms are very big and comfortable. If you have a car it's a convenient location to explore the sights in the Chiang Rai... More

Very, very beautiful hotel!!! Stayed 3 nights in april. As it was the low season, very few other guests. Booked a 3 night package for an excellent low season price (mountain suite). Wonderful pool area, lush tropical garden. Poolside phone to order drinks (tasty ice tea recommended). Huge suite/ apartment, bathroom felt like hollywood. Balcony with panoramic view. Very impressive... More

We saw this place in a picture guide book and LOVED the pictures, so decided to book. It's hard to believe it would be as beautiful as illustrated, but indeed this hotel delivers! LOCATION: Quiet, rural mountain top, absolutely stunning views. Try to go when the rice fields aren't burning and you get visibility for miles! Convenient to Chiang Rai... More

The Katiliya was stunning. The views were phenomenal and the scenery was incredible. My room was huge, very clean and incredibly comfortable. The service was great, and the staff were very kind despite the language barrier. The resort itself was humongous, and the spa was very good but incredibly pricey. The food was overpriced, and most of the items on... More

Awesome hotel. Rooms huge and great with spectacular views. Food outstanding. Staff great and attentive. Service fast - even in your room. I can highly recommend this place. A little tricky to find though but since we are on holiday getting lost is part of the adventure as this entire area has spectacular vistas and views and is great to... More

Okay, this place was stunning. A true oasis in the mountains, far removed from the rest of the world and very quiet. If you're looking for a place to hang up your hat then this is for you. The down side is the exorbitant prices they charge for everything, but I guess you get that when you're so far removed.... More

This property is massive and way oversized for the actual amount of guests. Half of the place seem to be abandoned. Pool bar? Closed. Thai restaurant? Closed. Public jakuzzi? Greenish and dirty water. The walkways, pool area, gym etc are not very well taken care of. During our 2 nights stay they were not able to remove filled litterbags from... More

We stayed here for 2 nights . It is a good base for visiting the golden triangle and surrounding hill villages . There is nothing around the hotel so you are quite confined to it when not touring . Our room was very spacious with a fabulous bathroom and lovely balcony looking over the valley . They have a very... More

There are a lot of plus points on this hotel- the position is fabulous, the rooms are great, our bathroom was bigger then a lot of hotel rooms, the views are spectacular and we ate some excellent Thai food. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. There are however some shortfalls and these are all driven by the... More

I have been to ChiangMai before and felt it was time to visit ChiangRai. As the other reviewers have mentioned, the resort is quite a distance from ChiangRai itself - it's about a 40-minute drive from ChiangRai airport. I had arranged for a car from the resort to pick me up from the airport and a driver was there to... More
