We had our plans in Tonga changed last minute but RealTonga flight cancellations (another story!) and our taxi driver recommended this place. It is on the north west of Tongatapu so you are a ways from Nukualofa, maybe not a bad thing! The room was basic for the money but good hot shower which is a luxury and the rooms... More

Spent 4 nights at Likualofa last week....not long enough of course but certainly proved to be a relaxing and laid back break from a busy life as a Travel Advisor in New Zealand ! I stayed in a Garden Fale with a girlfriend and lost the toss for the BIG bed which was probably the ONLY downside to an otherwise... More

We stayed as part of a group of 30. We had a Duplex fale. It was lovely and clean, serviced daily. The staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, from the complimentary breakfasts as well as the lunch and dinner menus. The food was fresh, the fish dishes were some of the best we had... More

We stayed at the resort for our complete Tongan visit of nine nights and enjoyed every day. The staff and owners of the resort were caring and welcoming and available and willing to assist in what ever way they could. The location was perfect, watching whales swim past as we had breakfast was an enchanting experience. Brian also experienced whales... More

I spent 5 nights at Liku'alofa. I loved that it was a locally-owned/managed business, and staffed by local people who were friendly and welcoming and always happy to chat. The beach wasn't quite the white sand paradise the website suggested, but I was more than happy sitting in the bar watching whales swimming by just off the coast. The owners... More

My friend (German) and I (Venezuelan) spent seven nights there and really our time was amazing. The room was comfortable and clean, the room service excellent and the common places perfect to socialize. Staff member are the cherry on the ice cream, all of them are very friendly and they do all to please their guests. I am vegetarian and... More

My family (1 x 10 year old) and I stayed at Liku'Alofa for 6 nights in August and have no regrets at all. We had such a great time! Brilliant staff - everybody was so friendly and helpful. The staff really made the trip. Facilities - excellent value. While simple, our rooms were clean and comfortable. Location - Stunning! Fantastic... More

We stayed here for 7 nights, it was very good value for money in a great position. Our Fale had a partial seaview, and was furnished to a good standard. There was a tv but if you wanted to watch a film you had to purchase a hard drive, we did this as my husband was not well during our... More

We spent a wonderful three nights at this resort. Very nice and relaxing. The food was excellent. My recommendation would be the fish dishes especially the wrapped ones. Two nights a week there is a feast and show all for $35 TOP which is great value. The views across the reef are amazing from the restaurant/bar. Plenty of whales cruising... More

This resort is run by some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of dealing with whilst arranging and enjoying my time on the island. The team are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much to ask. The resort itself is in a lovely setting by the beach and has a great cultural night and cave... More
