We spent three nights here at the beginning of our trip to Belize. We loved that there was very little to do except watch birds and sit around and relax. The grounds are beautiful and there are so many different birds! Belize is very hot and humid, but the breeze off the lake made it quite pleasant. No A/C, but... More

My husband and I stayed at Crooked Tree Lodge for 7 nights at the end of May. We had an unforgettable time there! Mick and Angie are wonderful hosts. Our cabana was clean and comfortable, however, we were only in it to shower and sleep. It had a wonderful porch with chairs for relaxing and gazing out at the lagoon.... More

Wow what a fantastic place and Mick and Angie are the perfect hosts! The food was amazing and so is the location. I cannot recommend Crooked Tree enough! Super relaxing and a great spot for bird watching, also a great place to explore Lamanai. Thank you so much Mick and Angie, I hope to see you soon!!

My boyfriend and I ended off our trip to Belize with a one night stay at Crooked Tree Lodge, and we wish we could have stayed longer! Mick was a fantastic host - not to mention an absolutely incredible chef. Our cabana was clean and bright and the most relaxing home away from home we had on our trip. We... More

My husband and I started out our fifth trip to Belize with our first stay at Crooked Tree Lodge. Before we arrived, we anticipated being a bit disappointed because we knew that the unusually high water level for late March meant that we would not see the "main attraction" of huge numbers of Jabiru storks and other wading birds feeding... We recently spent two days at Crooked Tree Lodge. Mick and a very pregnant Angie were wonderful hosts. They have made such a charming resort...from the spacious guest cabanas to the patios overlooking the lagoon. I am a birder and there was lots to see walking around their property. My favorite was all of the Vermillion Flycatchers! We also did... More

We spent two nights at Crooked Tree Lodge, loved every minute. We stayed in the larger cabana at the end, farthest from the lodge - lovely! It has a big shower, fans, its own nice deck area, great for stars and sunrise, too sunny in heat of day, but plenty of shade in common areas. The lodge and surrounding areas... More

My boyfriend and I traveled to Belize for a vacation, and were interested in seeing wildlife and Mayan ruins while also getting in some relaxation. Crooked Tree Lodge has lots of wildlife to view right on the property, and is also an excellent place to stay if you want to take a day trip to the Lamanai ruins. We even... More

This part of our trip to Belize was absolutely the tops for me. The lodge itself is so clean and full of interesting information and set in gorgeous area with the lagoon and pond on either side of the building. Mick and Angie are very welcoming. We arrived later than expected, but within minutes we had a lovely lunch in... More

My wife and I traveled to Belize in February 2014. We stayed one night at the Crooked Tree Lodge as part of a 10-day birding package. Mick and his wife Angie were wonderful hosts. The main lodge is beautiful and our private cabin was perfect, very clean and charming with a super comfortable bed. The meals were outstanding. We had... More
