Sorry as its such a lovely building (!!) really lovely! But you could hear every move around the place, we actually went to answer the phone in our room but then found it to be next doors! Think someone dropped something at around 12midnight, well our room shook! Anyway back to the good bit, food pretty good, service very nice... More

Excellent stay for one night in the area, the actual building itself is amazing and as a family hotel for us with 2 kids (7 and 9) it was perfect, not many hotels of this quality spend as much time and effort on families with young kids. We really did have a lovely night enjoying talking to the kids about... More

We were very excited about visiting this hotel but it was a nightmare from start to finish. When we turned up we were told that there had been a wedding the night before and we were not allowed in the building, let alone our room. When we asked if we could use the pool we were given no details about... More

We stayed for one night to celebrate our daughters graduation. After a slow congested journey from Loughborough arriving at Stapleford Park was a revelation. The long sweeping drive winds between mature trees before yielding your first view of the Hotel. It is a fabulous mixture of Victoria gothic with much older hunting lodge. The buildings and setting are spectacular, the... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with a group of friends to celebrate milestone birthdays. Hotel is a beautiful building in lovely extensive grounds with adjacent golf course. However, the service just didn't match the setting. Trying to get a drink in the bar was a tortuous experience and whilst we were fortunate to dine in a private room, the... More

My wife's birthday treat, booked the whole package very simply, got upgraded to a "manor room" great room the staff were really helpful, that is all the staff, all the time. Food was good, service good. We had a lovely room, old and elegant, no plastic! Just wood, heritage and history plus a comfortable bed. This place is Very well... More

My husband and I booked in to Stapleford Park at the last minute, we had enjoyed the last night of our honeymoon in another Pride of Britain hotel in Helmsley and loved it so much we decided to extend our honeymoon by another day. Having picked up the Pride of Britain brochure previously we thought we couldn't go wrong by... More

The room, location and grounds make it worth the visit; its peaceful and unlike many country house hotels you don't hear your neighbours (at least in the old wing) Unfortunately, like many UK private hotels it suffers from a lack of well trained professional staff. E.G the restaurant appears to be staffed with gap- year students and the odd trained... More

Stayed in the Bloomsbury room. Really lovely, bed great. No plug near kettle though. Bath huge and shower great. Very quiet. We were here on a golf day. Nice course just felt that some areas of the organisation could have been addressed. Breakfast and lunch was nothing special and felt it could be better, same with the evening meal in... More

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at Stapleford Park Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel set in some lovely grounds. The weather was perfect and made our stay just that little bit special. The hotel is very comfortable and a lovely country house hotel. Our bedroom was called Bonsiour and on first viewing very...
