Rooms were small. we were on the ground floor towards the back, so we can hear everything the owner was doing in the back workshop. So some privacy was definitely compromised during our stay. The walls were extremely thin and we could hear other guest as well. The location was great however; definitely walking distance to the local pub and... More

Staying at Nellie dees is like staying at a good friends house.from the moment we got there we were greeted warmly ,shown to our small but comfortable room, when we asked about dinner dining options ,jimmy (our host ) suggested a pub a short walk down the road ,for good food and great trad music ,both of which were true.... Arrived in Doolin during a rain and wind storm. The B&B was warm and cozy. Room was very small for a twin, barely room for the cases. Very clean. There are four rooms in the front of a larger house. View from dining area is great. Breakfast was adequate. We were there 2 nights to see the Cliffs, etc. Nothing... More

I have stayed in Doolin at three different B&B’s and I must say Nellie Dees was the best. The standard of accommodation and breakfast was comparable to the other places I have stayed in offering all that you expect from Irish B&B’s – clean, comfortable rooms and a hearty, tasty breakfast to start your day. Nellie Dees bettered the other... More

Stayed here for one night and we thought by the name, that it would be like other B&B's, run by a matron based on the name. Wrong. Newer building and the rooms ran on the small size and it reminded me of my college dorm room. The bath was small and contained the bare minimum. It was very clean, nice... More

Stopped at Nellie Dees for one night in August. The accomodation was clean and roomy and the breakfast was fantastic. I had the best porridge I have ever have so creamy! The location is within easy walking distance of two great pubs and a lovely bistro where we had a great meal.

Excellent breakfasts, convenient location and, most importantly, warm and gracious hosts. Our party of 8 was completely satisfied with every aspect of our 2-night stay in this clean, modern B&B. I wish to thank our host, Jimmy Spencer, for sharing his mother's recipe for wonderful brown bread. I hope one day soon to return to Doolin and Nellie Dees. Thank... More

Stayed one night while driving around Ireland, the building is fairly new and modern, all wooden floors which are pretty but make the whole place echo. Bathrooms are small and tight, no way for two persons to use the sink at once. Everything was very clean. Easy walking distance to several pubs, and restaurants. Ample parking for the number of... Nellie Dee's (two nights August 2013) was a great place to stay for our adventures in the Doolin area. The location is close to Cliffs of Moher, restaurants and pubs with terrific Irish music. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The B&B has a nice sitting area to read, meet other guests, or just enjoy the... More

We stayed at Nellie Dee's in May and really enjoyed it. The location is close to Cliffs of Moher, restaurants and pubs with terrific Irish music. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Lorraine and her husband were very friendly and helpful with tips for sightseeing, shopping, places to eat and pubs to enjoy Irish music. We... More
