Churchfield B&B was a delightful respite right in the middle of Doolin. Maeve Fitzgerald is a treasure -- we felt like family visiting with her. Our room was quite comfortable and had a lovely bathroom/shower that had been recently redone. The beds were cozy and warm. Maeve is a world-class baker; her brown bread and scones at breakfast were delicious.... more

We stayed for 1 night in July 2009. The accomodation is average - the room was a biit shabby, and the bathroom was a bit basic though very clean. However, the owner Maeve is a gem and epitomises just what an Irish 'bean an ti' should be like - warm, hospitable and very practical. We had to pre-order our breakfast... more

My husband and I traveled with another couple to Ireland at the end of June. We stayed two nights in Doolin at Churchfield. The location is just across from McDermott's pub and less than a block from McGanns pub. Even though it's near the "nightlife" of the tiny town of Doolin, it's not noisy at all. The room was a... more

We first visited Ireland in 2003 and stayed at several B&B's, but the Churchfield was the only one we wanted to go back to during our second trip. Maeve makes you feel like a valued guest, and the rooms are modern and very clean. Doolan and the Churchfield are great little jewels of Ireland. more

My three daughters and I traveled to Ireland in May and stayed at the Churchfield B&B in Doolin, Ireland. Maeve Fitzgerald (the host/owner) was awesome, she treated us like family and served an excellent breakfast, that was so tasty. The rooms are clean beyond compare and very comfortable. The entire atmosphere was so welcoming and inviting. If you are planning... more

After Galway, we stayed in Doolin the Churchfield B&B. Maeve was a great host. We didn't know what to expect of Doolin but we had a great time. The B&B was clean and the breakfast was great. This was, I think, the biggest B&B that we stayed in while in Ireland. The bar right across the street was amazing with... more

We had a wonderful stay at Churchfield B&B! It is a beautiful home. The room was spotless and welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable of our trip. Maeve is a delightful hostess. She helped us make the most of our short stay -- and her Traditional Irish Breakfast is outstanding. Our only complaint is that our schedule prevented us... more

This was the single best experience of our nearly one month in Europe covering four countries. Our hostess Maeve could not have been more helpful. Her establishment is spotless. The breakfasts overwhelmingly plentiful and excellent. The location is perfect both for scenery and for the one block walk to two pubs and two restraurants. We seldom used the car. You... more
