After reading about Doolin, its music, and charming pubs, I somehow expected an old classic hotel in a darling little town. The hotel is very modern and seems to own the entire block of modern stores, on a main thoroughfare through the town, such as it is. Once I got over the shock of "mistaken identity" we found the hotel... More

We stayed one night at Doolin Hotel and found it to be tops in all aspects, starting from the front desk attendant personally taking us to the room to all the comforts of the hotel and it's surrounding properties. The hotel exceeds many of the standards of 5 star hotels at a fraction of the price.

We stayed here recently for two nights as a centre to explore the Aran Islands and cliffs of Moher. This is a great hotel with very high standard of rooms, excellent restauarant and very helpful staff. Extremely modern rooms very comfortable beds, spotless modern bathroom. They even offer seaweed bath at 10euros extra. The breakfast was outstanding - my son... More

We came to this hotel to experience the Doolin Music Festival, but only wanted a evening ticket, it was quite pricey and the hotel discount was limited considering the inconvenience of an absolute rammed bar everytime you want a night cap (they need a separate place for residents). The hotel is fantastically placed and is a nice balance between modern,... More

We did not stay at the Hotel Doolin, but instead we made a purchase from a shop located on their property called The Shaggy Sheep. After returning to the USA we discovered that the PJs we purchased at the Shaggy Sheep were defective. We contacted Hotel Doolin about the defect and they immediately reimbursed the cost of the PJs based... More

We stayed here 3 nights in March 2014. This place was great, Doolin is so small you prob cant get a bad location. It was right where everything else is. The rooms were very big, very clean, had plenty of heat and hot water. The staff was helpful and friendly and was very good for the price. They offer fresh... More

My family and I were in Doolin last week for the wedding of our youngest son. though we did not book rooms at this hotel, our first stop in the town was there for a midday breakfast. The food and service was wonderful of course, and that sentiment carried for us through the entire week. There is a tourist information... More

Doolin was fabulous, looks like a sleepy wee village but it's anything but. Great pubs all with traditional Irish music and all within walking distance. I don't know how they play all night with hardly a break. Popular with old and young, Irish or tourists everyone is welcome. Hotel was great and so was breakfast and all the staff were... More

We loved this hotel. Visited with my parents and partner. Free bread, cupcakes in the room and welcoming drinks in the lobby on arrival. Beds were comfortable. Also got free drink voucher to use at hotel restaurant but couldn't use it as we had eaten at the hotel restaurant prior to check-in. Darn. I would go back. Nothing negative to... More
