Our group of six travelers arrived right from the airport vis the cliffs of moher and a stunning, yet rough boat cruise. We were tired, wet and cold and what a pleasure it was to arrive at Ballyvara House, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were quickly shown to our rooms so we could get situated before we left... more

The folks at Ballyvara were extremely helpful and welcoming. When I left my wallet in a taxi, the girl at the desk called taxi companies all over Clare trying to find out which taxi company I had taken. The breakfast was close to the best thing that had ever passed my hung over lips. Americans take note: this is the... more

Stayed here for 3 nights in August, We stayed in the self catering accomodation. Accomodation was good, we had breakfast on one morning as part of our package, breakfast was good, overall experience was good. I was expecting it to be better based on reviews. There is a playground and tennis court. Self catering accomodation could do with a lick... more

We were in Ireland for 2 weeks this June. I only booked 1 night at the Ballyvara House and I wish I'd have stayed a week. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in. The rooms are spacious. The service is amazing. The breakfast was really good. The cliffs of Mohr are only a couple of minutes away... more

I was pleasantly surprised with the Ballyvara House. The room I had was quite spacious and the bathroom was the largest I've had during my month long trip to Ireland. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of parking and great views. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection inlcuding fresh... more

We booked this hotel at last minute when we decided we could in fact squeeze the Cliffs of Moher into the end of our trip (which I highly recommend you do by the way). We paid 140 Euro for a triple room including breakfast (for 3). This room was BY FAR the largest we stayed in while in Ireland. Breakfast... more

After extensive traveling all around Ireland we ended in Doolin to spend four glorious days seeing the sights and enjoying all that Ballyvara had to offer. Beautiful rooms, fantastic food, excellent service and a homey atmosphere made our stay terrific. We're planning another trip in 2009 and this time we'll make reservations at Ballyvara ahead of time to make sure... more

My husband and I have stayed in Ballyvara on several occasions due to its lovely location, the service of the staff and the overall 'at home yet luxurious' ambience instilled in Ballyvara. The most recent was for our first wedding anniversary last July and it was just wonderful. There isn't a fault to be found with the facilities, it's a... more

My wife and I stayed at Ballyvara House at the end of September 2007 and truly loved our stay. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean and has a number of amenities you won't find even in really expensive hotels - a library, a billiard room, and a lovely patio. Becky Flanangan, the owner and operator is a thoroughly charming person... more

This was our second visit to Ballyvara House, which is a lovely place. It has exceptional facilities like a library, a poolroom, etc with excellent breakfasts suitable for all tastes, and friendly staff overseen by Becky the owner. Five of us booked and very much enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi baths were especially appreciated. Doolin is overall a quiet place, with... more
