My wife and I stayed here our last two nights in Ireland- it is super close to where you want to be- an easy walk to any part of Doolin. The facilities are wonderful- they breakfast was great and Danny and Máireád were SUPER accommodating to our needs both dietary and time wise. In a country of extremely welcoming people... More

Danny the host, made a great impression on us and he was one of the many highlights of our vacation exploring Ireland. A good room, good breakfast, friendly pup, good location (to nearby pub and just a short drive North from the Cliffs of Moher) and most notably, friendly charasmatic host Danny! Love that guy! Made everyone comfortable and had... More

We arrived very late and Danny didn't hesitate to welcome my husband and I in, and once he saw how tall my husband was he immediately switched our room to one with a bigger bed and shower. Then he directed to us where to get something to eat at such a late hour. In the morning we had such a... More

We'll spent only one night in this B&B but we really liked it ! First of all because Danny and Mairmead are extremely welcoming ! Danny talked a lot with us in the evening during the check in and he told us many times to feel home, which was the case :) In the morning we met Mairmead, she was... More

View of the cliffs from the bedroom and close enough to O’Conner’s to crawl home. We could walk anywhere in town which was handy. We regret that we didn't take Danny's advice to force ourselves to keep Irish hours and stay up for the bag pipes down the road. We both enjoyed Danny’s stories, colorful language, and inappropriate suggestions.

Stayed with my wife in September. This is very basic but impeccably clean and comfortable accommodation. It enjoys a great location a stone's throw from O'Connor's Pub and its great food and drink, within easy walking distance (flat) to other eateries, 2 kilometres from the pier where the ferries leave for the Cliffs of Moher cruises and handy to the... The Fisherman's Rest is located a minute's walk away from Doolin's main street and O'Connor's Pub. Our room was cute and cozy, breakfast was amazing, it was very fairly priced, but all that was nothing compared with the hosts! Danny is a warm, welcoming, and hilariously loud guy. "No making bambinos!" was the first thing he told my boyfriend and... More

That's the general feeling of staying there. The rooms are simple(luckely no TVs) but warm and clean.Breakfast is cooked with love and laughter. Wet clothes were dried and muddy ones washed by Danny. He and Máireád always give me the feeling of coming home and i'll be back in Doolin as soon as possible.

We specifically chose b and bs rather than hotels for our first trip to ireland b/c we wanted to have a chance to chat and experience irish hospitality first hand. Danny and Mairead provided exactly the experience we were hoping for. Danny is a retired fisherman who is colorful to say the least -- he greeted us like members of... More
