My two children, myself, and a friend stayed in a family room for two nights. It was a wonderful experience. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and clean. The location was perfect walking distance to local pubs with local music. Close to attractions like Doolin Cave and family friendly restaurants. Plenty of parking and an... More

We were really there in the off season and hardly anywhere was open so I'm glad we only spent one day. But the guesthouse was really nice and Doolin seemed like a friendly town. I would love to come back when it's slightly busier (but not too busy...that was part of its charm). The owner is very friendly and made... More

Celebrating our Honeymoon in Ireland, we stayed at many B&B's in Ireland. We sadly had the worst visit at this B&B... the rooms were dirty and had a mildew smell. There were a few lights that did not work. The water pressure was terrible and the toilet almost didn't flush. Thankfully we were only there for one night. I felt... More

This B&B has a great location--just a short walk from town and Gus O'Connor's Pub. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable enough. We didn't have a bathroom in our room--it was across the hall. But no one else had access to it, so it was fine. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The owner, Frank, was incredibly warm,... More

This B&B could be a lot nicer if the moisture/mold problems would be addressed. A moldy ceiling and bulge in the wall of the bathroom suggests a serious water issue. That, and quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed we ever slept in. Too bad, because the home is very nicely appointed and decorated, obviously a purpose built B&B. The host... More

If you a looking for a very clean, comfortable B&B that offers you a traditional local Co. Clare experience then look no further than Doonmacfelim B&B!!! It is not modern but immerses you into the depth of traditional Co. Clare, it reminds me of staying at my grandma's house with floral print bedding, paintings and the decor used but Frank... More

The pluses of Doonmacfelim House during my stay were: 1. Frank, the owner! He was kind enough to give me excellent travel advice. He allowed me to have breakfast early (and he did a good job with the cooked portion of it), so I could get on the road sooner. He was very pleasant. 2. The location. I came to... More

Frank is a great guy and cooks a great breakfast. The rooms are no frills but decent. The wifi was spotty. It's a five minute walk to pubs and a beautiful spot. It's really convenient if you're going to visit the Cliffs of Moher. I'd stay here again.

We spent 3 nights at this B&B and it was quite negative. Location in Doolin is good (but all locations in Doolin are good…) and the building himself was ok but we noticed a lot of negative points. First and maybe most important, the total absence of warmness of the man at the reception. Just hello, this is the key,... More

The hospitality and devotion to his guests shows up as soon as you meet Frank. He personally takes care of your rooms and your breakfast and puts all at ease in a true West Ireland way. No fancy airs but a beautiful, impeccably kept house with all that you could need. Menus, directions to all attractions and local history books... More
