Absolutely fantastic hotel. We had two rooms for our family of five for two nights and it was perfect. Upgraded us to superior room for a mistake on booking.com's part. Wonderfully friendly staff, amazing views, interesting history and awesome castle ruin with a friendly horse resident. Breakfast first rate and plentiful too. Loved this place. Will definitely come back. Highly... More

We stayed here for only 1 night in early July, while driving around the west coast, but it was a real treat. I think we had the best room in the hotel - a huge suite at one end of the inn, with an octagonal sitting room, off the bedroom, with windows on 3 sides that looked out on the... More

Nice remote location close to Cliff's of Moher. The hotel is ... old - and not in a positive way. Rooms with old carpets, bath fittings old and little damages, etc. Cold rooms and heating wasn't working at all. Hair dryer was sticky and couldn't be touched without a towel - absolute no-go. On the pictures uploaded are nice rooms,... More

What a beautiful country house! Fireplaces in common rooms which made things more inviting. Rained on and off, so it was a lovely place to go back to and revive after intensive touring. Very comfortable big bed, lovely linen and towels...beautiful surroundings. Good comfortable pillows. First class evening meal with silver service and sumptuous breakfasts. Very welcoming warm and hospitable... More

The hotel is a lovely old manor house with a newer wing of additional guest rooms that mimics the design of the original home. The setting is gorgeous, high on a hill in the country with a view of the sea in the distance. The ruins of Ballinalacken Castle are on the grounds and the owner gave guests a tour... More

We didn't want to leave this cozy retreat in Doolin, nestled a comfortable distance from the hustle and bustle of B&Bs lining the main town of Doolin. Our time in Doolin commenced on day five of our Ireland visit, and while driving I received a "We look forward to seeing you today" email from the proprietor - most appreciated knowing... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the staff and accommodations were excellent. The meals were delicious and the service was outstanding. Cozy bar. It' a great place close to Doolin and near the Burren Coastal Road.

My wife and I stayed as part of our honeymoon. The reason for staying was that it seemed to be very homey online and owned by a local family. When we checked in we were warmly greeted and led to our room. Our room had a four poster bed and bathroom; the room had lots of natural light, views of... More

I'm not generally an "inn" type of person, but read so many great reviews that I knew I had to stay at Ballinalacken on my recent visit to Doolin. The hosts are wonderful and made me feel very welcome from the time I got there. There was an evening tour of the castle offered, and we were able to climb... More

We had a family of 5 adults traveling and this was the closest thing to a B&B that would accommodate our group. The hotel is very quaint. The decor is Irish country and the family that owns and runs the hotel are over the top gracious. Remember you are in County Clare, not Dublin. The hosts provide a tour of... More
