Stayed at this property for two nights in Doolin, Ireland. Based on the reviews our expectations were high. As to the location, the setting was very pretty with views to the sea and a castle on the premises. Beyond that we were disappointed. The rooms looked tired and the bathroom had no counter space for toiletries. The breakfast was good.... More

Warm & wonderful service at this property. Very personal and accommodating. The property is very charming, and while not actually a 'castle' the history & tour of the castle (remains) on the site was a welcome addition to the visit. The property is old and charming. The room was huge and well-appointed. Very quiet throughout. Breakfast was wonderful and beautifully... More

Excellent place where to dine. Every single dish is cooked with mastery, passion, art. Bread and the small scones are to die for. We suggest you the fish plate, with a first-class cooked salmon and the salmon with betroots... so delicious. Desserts are splendid. We loved the elegant and original cheesecake as well as the creme brulee served with home-made... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! It's a quaint little B and B that suited our needs perfectly. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is fabulous for dinner and breakfast. We loved the little bar area, it was perfect! The location is amazing with an incredible view of the cliffs. You must... More

Family run hotel with stunning rooms, most of them with Atlantic views. Just a couple of miles from Doolin! Gentle staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely ''old fashion'' tea room and restaurant.

Stayed for three nights here, beautiful room with a four poster bed and a fabulous view. The bathroom was small and the grouting between some tiles could do with a cleaning, a small criticism but for €170 a night you would expect more cleanliness. The food was high quality and the floor staff serving you were excellent. The tour of... More

If you're thinking of going to Ireland, book a stay at Ballinalacken! This was our very favorite hotel in our first family trip to Ireland. The location is gorgeous, set high on a hill, a perfect backdrop for this elegant country manor. Once you set foot in the door, you're treated to incredible hospitality, wonderful ambiance, amazing food (the lentil-bean... More

Absolutely fantastic hotel. We had two rooms for our family of five for two nights and it was perfect. Upgraded us to superior room for a mistake on booking.com's part. Wonderfully friendly staff, amazing views, interesting history and awesome castle ruin with a friendly horse resident. Breakfast first rate and plentiful too. Loved this place. Will definitely come back. Highly... More

We stayed here for only 1 night in early July, while driving around the west coast, but it was a real treat. I think we had the best room in the hotel - a huge suite at one end of the inn, with an octagonal sitting room, off the bedroom, with windows on 3 sides that looked out on the... More

Nice remote location close to Cliff's of Moher. The hotel is ... old - and not in a positive way. Rooms with old carpets, bath fittings old and little damages, etc. Cold rooms and heating wasn't working at all. Hair dryer was sticky and couldn't be touched without a towel - absolute no-go. On the pictures uploaded are nice rooms,... More
