This cozy hotel was a steal with the last minute Internet rate we received in the off-season. It feels like you are a guest in someone's manor home. Breakfast was great and staff were always helpful and friendly. On the downside, our room was a bit faded and very musty... luckily the weather was mild and we could keep the... more

What a view! From our room at the front of the hotel we could see the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. Our welcome was friendly, our room was comfortable and the location of the hotel close the the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and The Burren was hard to beat. more

We spent our first night in Ireland at the Aran View, and it was perfect. We had our three kids with us, and got a nice family suite with two rooms adjoined by a small hallway. You can see the Aran Islands from the hotel, which is a short drive or nice walk from Doolin village. The room was quite... more

The view of the Atlantic and Aran Islands is fantastic. It's an old refurbished hotel, so rooms are cozy with small bathrooms. And the service is great. more

our room was on the last floor, but, even if there isn't a lift, we enjoyed our stay. the furniture was cosy and warm, the bathroom was ok and full of amenities, and the breakfast superb and rich. the waiter was alone in the whole dinner room, but he did his best to attend us as soon as possible. all... more

Spent almost an hour trying to find accommodation in Doolin having arrived at 7.30pm from Kerry. Was desperate at this stage and checked in without seeing the room - BIG mistake. It was not located in main hotel but an annex to the rear which was obviously a stable in its former life. Smelled incredibly musty and damp, bathroom light... more

Family run business. Free Irish breakfast. View of the Moher cliffs and Aran Islands from hotel is spectacular. Walked to the traditional local pubs , O'Conners and McCann's.... more

Our expectations: a clean room and bath; a drink or two with friendly folks; a very good evening meal with a glass or two of fine wine; an excellent night's rest; and a hearty breakfast before departing. For two nights in late May 2009, The Aran View House exceeded all of our expectations. The warm hospitality extended by the Linnane... more

My husband and I made our 2nd journey to Ireland last week. Friends recommended that we spend some time in Doolin, known for traditional Irish music with nearby Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands. I found the Aran View Hotel on a website and booked 2 nights there. We were not disappointed! Theresa and Sharon, the mother-daughter proprietors, were very... more

Our only real complaint was that the bed was pretty much a rock. Otherwise, the hotel was nice. The breakfast was generous and tasty. The views from the hotel were amazing. The hostess was very pleasant. Also, Doolin was a good place to stay because it is known for great traditional Irish music and you can take a boat ride... more
