Booked hotel for three nights, checked out after one nght. Room was musty, and cold,Television control did not work. The breakfast was appalling considering B&B was costing 80 euros. There was no fresh fruit :tinned grapefruit and tinned mandarin oranges. I ordered scrambled egg and smoked salmon from the menu and then i was informed that the smoked salmon was... more

My husband & I stayed here in July 2007. While it looks promising, we wished we'd stayed elsewhere. The hotel is old, the first room we had was terrible. It smelt old and musty, the tv didnt work and when we complained they told us they couldnt do anything about it. The bathroom was like a cupboard! We eventually requested... more

A wonderful hotel. Excellent views and comfortable rooms. Old world charm in a beautiful setting. The hotel is 380 years old so expect some little issues but overall wonderful. The bar is unique and served the best Guinness we had on our trip. The restaurant served wonderful breakfast and dinner and the hotel was an ideal setting for trips to... more

We three women stayed at the Aran View House Hotel 2 weeks ago. It could not have been a better experience. I was nervous about renting a car at the Shannon Airport and driving to it, but it turned out to be an adventure with gorgeous scenery throughout. The view is stunning with the green sheep-filled pastures and Atlantic Ocean.... more

I took my wife to Ireland (the land of her ancestors) for two weeks and of all the B&B's and hotels we stayed at, by far our favorite was the Aran View. The hotel overlooks both the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The view is spectacular. Teresa and Sharon run the place and are both so warm and... more

I would recommend skipping the Aran View. My wife and I may have had a 'bad room' that spoiled our opinion, but a dirty shower and barely running hot water faucet is not my idea of an enjoyable place to stay. It was not even possible to complain/change rooms because we arrived late (7:30 pm) and after we checked in,... more

I've just stayed over here for a long weekend, dont get me wrong, it was a lovely hotel, the front is well kept and the views are fantastic but (and theres always a but isnt there!) I wasnt over struck by the place. The room was cold, as a result of the window being broken and not being able to... more

We stayed at the Aran View for our first 2 nights in Ireland. We had a 4 bedroom guesthouse booked to ourselves which was nice. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the water and I spent each morning sipping coffee sitting at a picnic table in the front of the hotel. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Beds were... more

We were very disappointed with this hotel, particularly after reading some of the reviews that encouraged us to stay there. The walls between rooms were paper thin and you could hear everything. Although they had a nice view from the room the window was tiny. This was the most expensive place we stayed at during our visit to Ireland and... more
