We had a wonderful stay in mid-August at this hotel. The views overlooking the Atlantic and the Northern End of the Cliffs of Moher were stunning from our room and the hotel grounds. The scrambled eggs for the morning Irish breakfast were perfect, and the conversation in the bar the night before with Sharon and John was great. A very... More

The worst hotel I've ever visited. You can find thousand of better choices for that money. The room was a old and poor equipped. Also, it was poorly clean there was spider web in every single corner. The breakfast was really bad. We are quite disappointed with this hotel

This hotel was just lovely, the views from the bedrooms are just amazing day or night. We found this hotel very clean and the staff were great. Sharon and her Mam Theresa were very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay a pleasure. The breakfast was excellent as were the breakfast room staff. I would highly recommend... Our family of fourteen (ages 6 months to Senior Citizen) stayed for two nights in July. We had four reasonably priced rooms. Sharon and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home and offered many helpful suggestions. The rooms are large and comfortable and there is a nice private sitting room, where we met each night to... More

My family had 2 rooms, one was on the second floor in front of the hotel with the most amazing view of the islands. The rooms were very clean, reasonably priced and spacious. The dining room is beautiful and breakfast was excellent.

I stayed at the Aran View House for six nights at the end of July, while traveling with friends. My room was good size, although a little smaller than I like, but our companions had a very good size room. The location is okay, but not the greatest for Doolin. It is 1/2-mile down the road from Doolin Cafe and... More

The Aran View boasts beautiful views (both of the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher), a very friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk (two minute drive) from the center of Doolin village and its pubs, and about 15 minutes from Fisher Street. My room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished Wireless internet... More

I've stayed in the Aran View Hotel twice now, 1st with friends & then family. The hotel is in a great location if you want to visit the Cliffs, Caves and the Aran Islands. The hotel itself is quiet, relaxing and always spotlessly clean, the staff were always very friendly and helpful especially if you need any information about the... More

I stayed here two different times and both times were lovely. Beautiful grounds and views. Nice rooms. Great lounge that was generally quiet, but with Wi-Fi, a bar, could order a plate of chips. Breakfast was made to order in lovely dining room. When I came back a second time, they upgraded me to an extra beautiful room with superb... More

Wonderful views! Nice unobtrusive staff. We only stayed one night but I could have stayed there in the solitude for a week. Having to drive into Doolin was fine because that added to the feeling of seclusion and relaxation. The sunset from the front terrace is like no other.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aran View Country House Hotel, built in the georgian period, in 1736, stands on a hill on the coast road commanding one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Facing the Aran View Hotel, lie the beautiful Aran Islands just seven miles from Doolin. To the North is the famous Burren landscape and exotic wild flowers. Looking South is the Doolin pier and the begining of the imposing Cliffs of Moher jutting out into the wild Atlantic Ocean. One will never tire of these views of an ever-changing landscape of greens and blues. Each room is indivudally decorated keeping the Georgian feel as much as possible. You can enjoy a relaxing drink each evening in the lounge bar, while watching some of the more amazing sunset. You can also enjoy Fresh Scones, tea/coffee in the bar each evening.
