Was a bit dubious on first impressions as I walked into what effectively is a bar but was very warmly welcomed and told that the rooms were upstairs so was expecting a B&B like experience at this stage but the rooms section was very modern. The room itself was adequate for the money and the bathroom and shower were very... More

Big is not always better and that is the case here at The Wallis Arms Hotel. To be fair in modern terms this is probably classed more as a guest house than a hotel, I think they only have about eight rooms all situated over the front bar. The rooms are very well presented with all mod cons and spotless... More

The rooms were very comfortable and spotless etc. Very good shower. Breakfast was huge and excellent! thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thanks to Wallis Arms for making our stay so... More

Location was excellent, right in the centre of Millstreet. The staff and indeed the people in the bar gave us a real Cork welcome. The meals were tasty, I don't know about prices of food as we were not paying the bill. There is a spacious lounge where we attended a function in the afternoon. There was a great atmosphere... Stayed at the Wallis Arms for two nights mid November. The rooms were nice, clean and very comfortable. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner both nights at the hotel restaurant and found the food to be very good. On our second day we were leaving early before breakfast was served. Both the Manager... More

Went with a friend who is a food critic, lasagne was sent back as it was burnt and hard, second lasagne was dry and no flavour, dessert was so bad, it was left on the plate, chef came out to check who had sent food back, no kiddies menu, would not recommend this place to anyone, my friend has requested... Hi Hizzy56 We have followed up internally on your review; 1)We accept that the lasagne was burnt, for this we apologise. On drawing it to the attention of our waitress she offered to replace the whole meal immediately, being quite reasonable your friend only wanted the lasagne portion of the dish replaced. 2) The dessert if it was not acceptable... Bumped into Millstreet's great gentleman and its famous chronicler, Seán Radley, on a recent visit to the lovely town and was taken by Seán to the Wallis Arms for a chat and evening meal before heading for home. The staff and management were friendly. The toasted sandwich, coffee and French fries were simply perfect. It's a perfect place for a... More

We stayed at the Wallis Arms for two nights. The rooms were spotless - my husband and I had an adjoining room with our son, each with our own bath - and comfortable. The entire hotel was neat, clean, and appeared to be freshly painted. Views out the window of the Clara mountains were beautiful. Breakfast each morning was fabulous... More
