I was so privileged to be given a one night stay in this lovely resort. It's quite a travel but it's all worth it. From the boat trip, the way to the resort, and to the hotel itself, it was fantastic. Upon arrival, was greeted by a friendly staff, offered some welcoming drinks which is very refreshing and a clean,... More

After a very long drive from Muscat myself and my wife arrived to the jetty to take us to Sir Bani Yas Island, from the first step we both had the feeling that this would be a very memorable gate away ... And indeed it was... Not sure if it was a coincidence or normal but the reservation staff was... More

Lovely hotel to get away from all of it with very helpfull staff. Food is ok a little over priced but nothing else is available anywhere around!! The safari is a nice little spin. The best is the quietness around the forced DO NOTHING all day (If one wants). Good meeting facilities, very new and professional team managing it. The... More

If you come from Dubai (start from Burj Khalifa) and respect the speed limits it will take you at least 3 hours to reach the small port where you will have to take a speed boat to reach the island; so lets say that it will take you +/- 4 hours (from dubai) to reach the lobby of the hotel.... More

I hadnt expected Anantara's Desert Islands to offer such an amazing adventure style weekend away. We visited mid January and had a ball. The weather was awesome. The staff at the hotel made our stay particularly special. Friendly faces and warm greetings. We were upgraded to a two bedroom villa with its own pool - AMAZING. The highlight for us... More

Its 2.5 hours drive from Dubai, not a bad place to spend a day. The resort is very luxurious and amazing and gives a look of an african safari resorts. The serene of interior decor is awesome. If you are into wild life then its the place to be at. Starting from giraffe to the sheokhs eastern majlis, are the... More

I hadn't planned to go over but got bored in jebel Dhanna and was able to book a day trip easily via the activities center. You pay at the hotel- r/t boat included. Took the 10am boat from the lovely little reception area (coffee and newspapers included) for the 30 minute ride over. Then be aware it's another 20 minutes... More

Absolutely amazing place. Only 2.5 hours drive from Dubai and yet we felt we were on an African safari with giraffe, cheetahs and Ibis in the reserve and antelope wandering through the hotel grounds. The actual hotel is beautiful and serene with stunning interiors and spacious rooms, the restaurants are good and the pool and private beach are perfect. The... More

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the guides were very enthusiastic and did their utmost to ensure the guests got the maximum out of the various activities. Kate was particularly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good, especially the breakfast, which catered... More

Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara isn't luxurious and there isn't much to do. When a friend and I went on Christmas Day to stay four nights, we discovered a package tour atmosphere and a situation where everything available to guests required a 15-20 minute ride on a boring asphalt road. Nowhere to walk around the resort and the... More
