I must say, I was a bit skeptical about the place. I thought the gorgeous photos posted on their website were just for marketing purpose. My friend and I stayed over for 2 nights for the Two Oceans Marathon and we were given such a warm and friendly welcome. The beds are very comfortable, the entire building is sparkling clean... Off The Wall Backpaers is a nice hotel. I Have stayed there for 23 days and made new friends. The good things are that my room was cleaned everyday, there are clean toilets, showers and kitchen. The receptionists are very helpful, even Isaac the security guard. Especially Sandra and Kuzie were the most friendly. The things I found could be... More

I have never stayed at a backpackers and was a bit afraid of what I would find upon arrival, only to be pleasantly surprised. Extremely clean and safe. Good security in place. The rooms are small but adequate (I booked a double room for myself as I did not wish to share). Staff are extremely friendly. I had a car... More

We (10 of us) walked the "Tour du Mont Table" around Table mountain, 5 days 88 km. We stayed over in 4 Backpackers along the way. Cape Town, Hout Bay, Muizenberg and Claremont. When you look at Off the Wall with Google street view is looks bad and when you walk up to it it looks worst. But when you... More

Brand new, colourful, clean, quiet, safe... a very nice 2 day stay. I was with a car but there's a railroad and bus station right next door and a large shopping centre across the road. Excellent quality for a backpackers.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double suite and used Off The Wall for a night out in Claremont. Off The Wall seems brand new and in a very good condition. The room was very clean and the Deluxe Suite gives you the required privacy. The kitchen is clean. Hudson’s restaurant is a 5 min walk away. All in all an... More

This place is very modern and very clean and staff are extremely helpful and make you feel at home. Its in a good location next to the train station and is just off a bustling high street with shopping centres, restaurants and bars galore! Only negative is that the walls are paper thin and it can become noisy in the evenings... More

I've been to a few backpackers in and around Cape Town, and South Africa, normally the accommodation is acceptable but nothing to write home about. Off The Wall backpackers has raised the bar in every way possible - admittedly it is a bit more expensive than most backpackers but definitely worth it. The rooms are spacious and come with a... Wow - what a great place - I have stayed in many backpackers and have inspected a lot without staying - this is one of the best I have seen. the surprise is after you arrive down the very grey and unimpressive side street is the entrance - it absolutely blows you away. It is much better than a B&B... More
