This is a very good hotel in the margin of Negro River. The access migh be done by land in Vans or by plane. I strongly recommend the plane: it is a nice experience to see the region from the top. As the Nego River waters are somehow acid there is no mosquitoes! The kindness of all the employees, including... More

anavilhanas was our first stop after a long long journey from pakistan. we reached manaus middle of the night after an 18 hour flight to sao paulo and then a 4 hour flight from sao paulo to manaus. the next morning we were picked up from our hotel in manaus at 8:15 am by krishna, who was to be our... Traveling to the amazon is quite a process, but Anavilhanas makes it worth the while! Upon arrival, they have snacks, and a detailed schedule of activities for you to participate in while staying at the lodge. We found our guides to be very knowledgeable, and great with English. The food at every meal was very typical of the Brazilian culture,... More

The Anavilhanas is a top-end jungle resort near Manaus. Everything is well-organized for the guest's comfort and safety. A terrific experience. Guests flying into Manaus are picked up by a hotel van and driven 3 hours to the lodge. They are greeted and pampered by pleasant, well-trained staff. The rooms are terrific, with air-conditioning, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and privacy.... More

A great experience all round. Superb activities, non-tacky, excellent food, great location. Well worth the extra cost. No mosquitoes - a massive blessing! The front of house staff were hugely helpful too.

Let me start by saying that this was a very expensive, short stay. Traveling to the Amazon is quite a commitment and investment in itself and we are unlikely to return, so I wanted to make sure that we made the most of our time and would not be disappointed. For this reason I trusted reviews, spent a lot of... More

I stayed here for 4 days with my friend in February and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We especially enjoyed the evening contemplation boat trip when we saw a couple of tree sloths, snake and frogs but most magical of all were the stars, shinning in a black sky - just beautiful. The jungle hike was good fun and we... More

Everything here is done right and flawlessly. Service is top notch and there is not much they don't think about. Accommodations are wonderful, the food is truly outstanding, and the all-inclusive tours are fun and educational. A special thank you to our guide Krishna who wowed us with his jungle knowledge. He made every moment of the various tours worthwhile... More

We considered a number of jungle lodges in the area and were glad we settled on Anavilhanas. Although we don't usually go for all-inclusive resorts with scheduled activities, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here, even though it wasn't a rugged full-on jungle experience. The rooms, food, location, staff and activities were all excellent. We stayed 4 nights over Easter and... More

We stayed for three nights. It was a fairly tame ' jungle experience', but fun and interesting. Food very good, staff were always helpful and knowledgeable and accommodation comfortable and clean. There is only so much the lodge can do in terms of trips/activities and they do them well. Although the piranha fishing and community visit feel a little 'touristy'... More
