An amazing setting, super staff and cuisine to dine for. This lodge is close enough to Manaus to avoid hours of dirt roads, but far enough away that you feel really deep in the amazon. Set right by the Rio Negro, they use the river for twice daily trip out that include pink dolphin experiences, moonlit night boats to see... More

My family of 4 enjoyed our recent 5 night / 4 day stay at Anavilhanes tremendously. The lodge enjoys a great setting and has very helpful staff and insightful guides. The rooms / huts are very comfortable and clean with excellent a/c. We all enjoyed the food and the kids tried a lot of new dishes. Activities are scheduled by... More

We stayed for 3 nights / 4 days in the lodge. Family of 5. It was a wonderful experience: - service is excellent. - food is very good. Try the local flavors: piracucu, tapioca, cupuaçu, açaí. - activities are dynamic, views are breathtaking.

I stayed here for 4 nights and this one of the best nature experience in my life. The hotel organizes two 2 to 3-hour activities per day based on length of stay and languages spoken. You are free to opt out, but I recommend not to, as every activity (from jungle tours on foot or by boat to the visit... More

The lodge, on the banks of the Rio Negro River, offered first class accommodations. Spacious rooms with air conditioning right in the middle of the jungle. Meals were served in an open dining area, and the food was from local sources. The concept of the lodge is to be ecological and to support the local inhabitants. There were several outings... More

We held a conservation workshop at Analvilhanas Lodge and were extremely impressed by the quality of service, fabulous food, and great amenities. The guides are excellent and customer service is unbeatable. You have Analvilhanas National Park, a World Heritage Site, at the water's edge of the Rio Negro just 100 feet from your rooms. The cuisine was fabulous and considering... More

This hotel is unique! Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is located deep inside the jungle across the beautifully preserved Anavilhanas Archipelago, on the banks of Negro River, heart of the Brazilian Amazon. The dark and silver mirrored Negro River and its surrounding areas are breathtaking. From sunrise to dark night, from piranhas to sloths and dolphins, there are several options for the... More

After traveling around the world for 15 months our family including our 15 month old niece met us in Brazil for a 3 week holiday. This place was very accommodating to us as she was the youngest child they have ever had out there plus my older sister was 4 months pregnant with her second one. The activities they had... More

We had the best time at Anavilhanas. Rob, our guide, was incredible - he had a fantastic knowledge of the jungle and had a sixth sense for spotting animals. We went in the rainy season but had great weather and were fascinated by the flooded forests. The best part was that mosquitos don't like the Rio Negro so we didn't... More

Very nice overall, though much less of a wild experience compared to what we had been expecting. We had booked a seaplane transfer both ways to and from Manaus, though a sudden change in weather forced the plane to turn around and we had to take a minibus instead (which worked out pleasantly enough anyway). The lodge itself is well... More
