This is one of those places that could be wonderful but falls a long way short. We booked a superior room with views of the sea and Vesuvius. Wonderful view. The room was immaculately clean, but small and old fashioned. It may have been five star when first fitted out, but certainly not any more. Breakfast was ok, but nothing... More

Huge disappointment. Dogs barking all day and all night long - no exaggeration. Reception/concierge staff was hostile and aggressive after we voiced a complaint. The restaurant staff was nice, but the food was very disappointing considering the Michelin rating. We were served stale chips in the hotel bar. The surrounding buildings, not shown on the website are decrepit; not a... More

Dear Guest We wish to thank you for staying with us and for sharing your opinion on tripadivor. We would like to give some explanations, hopefully that will not be considered arrogant and insulting. There are dogs but they do not bark all day and night and the reception staff, that speaks fluent English, use to listen to the complaints... More

This hotel was spectacular; I do not understand any of the negative ratings. We did upgrade our standard room to one with a seaview overlooking Mount Vesuvius – it was glorious and worth the extra money – we stayed there for 4 nights, so it was nice to wake up to that. They have free wifi everywhere in the hotel... More

We loved the beautiful view and friendly staff here. We stayed for 5 nights as part of our Italian honeymoon and this was truly a gem! We woke up to a beautiful view of Mt Vesuvius and the ocean everyday. A quick train ride to downtown Sorrento and Pompeii and also a stop for the Capri shuttle boat. Just perfect!

This is a beautiful hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples. I cannot say enough about the view of Vesuvius from the restaurant. It is amazing. The staff were wonderful -- so kind, helpful, and thoughtful. Our garden-view room was lovely and well-appointed. If you are traveling by train, make sure that you have a phone to call the hotel for... More

We stayed at this nice hotel for 3 nights. The staff was so welcoming and very friendly. The lady who greeted us at the check in was extremely nice. The location of the hotel was excellent with an amazing view from the breakfast terrace. From the outside, the hotel is beautiful. I loved the entrance to the hotel, the big... More

My wife & I stayed here for ten days in September & had a really great time, the superior room with sea view was not the largest I'v stayed in but it was well appointed, clean & the view was to die for, as for the rest of the hotel it was always very clean & well kept. We always... More

I can't compliment the staff enough. They were overly helpful in resolve a couple of problems (rental car & airline) which occurred during our stay. The view from the bar and restaurant overlooking the Bay of Naple and Mt Ves were outstanding. Breakfast on the terrace was great, good and plentiful food. Hotel design was very modern, which would explain... More

We stayed here the summer of 2013 with kids. We booked a family suite. The room was incredibly large but bare bones. There were no pictures on the wall, no artwork except a few vases. No carpets or rugs. The room felt sterile like a hospital room, not a 5 star hotel. The bed was uncomfortable. My children complained they... More
