We booked one night fairly last minute so we could go biking in the area. We were contacted by the owners soon after booking welcoming us and giving us helpful information - a nice, personal touch. The owners were also there to meet us on arrival and made us tea and Welsh cakes. The room was a decent size the... More

Enjoyed a lovely stay on Saturday, unfortunately it was only for 1 night but we would have liked to have stayed longer, as Sarah was such a lovely host, made us feel very welcome and was very helpful with lots of useful information of the local area as it was our first visit. It is such a lovely peaceful location... More

The Slate Shed is a wonderfully appointed B&B nestled in the hillside overlooking the expansive views of the Mawddach estuary. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by Sarah and given an introduction to the area and various amenities over tea and welsh cakes. We were accommodated in very comfortable rooms, again overlooking the estuary. The spacious modern... More

Everything was very well thought out and would highly recommend. The location was great. the views from the breakfast room were lovely as was breakfast. We enjoyed our bike ride from the B&B along the estuary and over to Barmouth. There were lots of nice walks and places to eat and drink not too far away.

For the first time we had a family holiday over New Year, it was our 3rd stay at one of the cottages at Graig Wen and once again it didn't disappoint. We stayed in Small Barn and it had everything we would have wanted for a week away, warm, spacious, great views. We can certainly recommend Graig Wen and so... More

Great to see you all again and thanks to all the family for staying up to help see in the New Year on the camp site. Not much of the home made sloe gin left now! More

We have just returned from a seven night self catering stay at Pine Cottage on the site of Graig Wen. It was our third visit and we are due to return again at Easter. We have regularly traveled to self catering cottages with our dog but this has been the only location that we have been drawn back to time... More

Thanks for spreading the word about what this special area has to offer. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay again and look forward to seeing you again. WiFi and Sky channels are being installed in Pine Cottage in mid January to help provide entertainment in the longer winter evenings! More

We recently stayed in Little Haven, The Slate Shed, Graig Wen, Arthog and had the most magical time. The views are amazing, could hear the owls calling in the evening. The accomodation is so well thought out, from the crockery, pans, etc to the lovely towels, bedding and furniture. Everything was perfect and proper little Shangri La. One of the... More

Thank you so much. Hearing (and sometimes seeing) the owls outside your window is a magical experience. More

We stayed here mid-Sept 2014 and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway/writer's retreat. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We borrowed their 'circular walks' book and had a great time exploring the beautiful landscapes (everything from estuary, marsh and heath to woodland and waterfalls). They serve great breakfasts and the decor is quirky, fun and cosy.

Stayed here for five nights in mid-October. The place is nice and clean and the breakfast is excellent. Great view from the dining room too. And for animal lovers (such as myself) a cat and two dogs (who all get along) are also resident (allowed the cat to sleep on my bed quite a lot although I do not think... More

We enjoyed our long weekend at Craig Wen. Our party of 6, spread out over three rooms all enjoyed the accommodations. We were very well taken care of at breakfast and Sarah helped us plan our outings, as this was our first time in Wales. Beautiful scenery and peaceful area to visit!
