We stayed 3 nights B&B but wished we had booked for longer. Sarah & John must have done quite a lot of research to operate a place so well. The room we stayed in (Miri Mawr) had great views across the Mawddach Estuary and was perfect with subtle touches like chocolates and flowers. Breakfast, served at a large table with... More

This is an excellent B&B, very comfortable and welcoming. The guest sitting room has many books and comfortable settee, the patio enjoys great views over the estuary and the little shop sells good local produce. It is a great place for walking and deserves to be better known.

Graig wen is such a beautiful place that I almost don't want to tell anyone else about it so I can keep it a secret all for myself! Everything here is fantastic and from the moment you check in you are made to feel so welcome by Sarah and John and their team. It's a perfect blend of stylish decor,... More

We visited Graig Wen for our mini-moon straight after our wedding and we stayed in the Caban. It had a fire pit outside and a wood burning stove inside along with gas hobs and we were provided with everything we needed for the stay (minus bedding). It is very unique and a very picturesque place to stay. The staff were... More

Stayed here with my 3 children, two other mums and their children for 3 nights. The site is beautifully situated with well spaced out pitches that gave our children plenty of room to roam and play. Great to have firepits for every pitch and the log delivery service was very useful. Basic but very clean facilities, friendly staff and a... More

We stayed in the B&B, our friends and sons in the upper camping field. Both highly recommended. B&B very comfortable and beautifully done. Great breakfasts. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of throughtful touches. Campsite lovely too. Toilet and washing facilities clean and convenient. Beautiful views. Honesty shop a really nice touch.

This is in a brilliant location overlooking the Mawddach estuary. You can walk down to the estuary trail from this converted slate cutters' shed and either walk or cycle to Barmouth or Dolgellau. The views are stunning. The whole place has been stylishly renovated in a retro style featuring decor associated with 60s Welsh bands such as Bran. Handy for... More

Just returned from a weekend camping with two friends. Superb site, with secluded pitches positioned in a beautiful setting. Upon arrival you realise they have focused on the little things. The drop off and pick up to pitches at the bottom of the hill is a must. The fire pits are fantastic. Both safe and a great way to cook... More

Very comfortable, clean and tasteful room. Excellent breakfasts served in communal conservatory/dining room with superb views over the estuary. Beautiful rural location. Very friendly and helpful proprietors who provided very accurate recommendations for places to eat in the evening. All were excellent. Good packed lunch provided for our day on Cadar Idris.
