Very good location, right in town but overlooking the river. Lovely renovated entrance. There really is no reception - you go the bar and check in (dangerous? lol). Its really more of a bar/restaurant with rooms. If you stay in room 1, its lovely and big and looks right out at the river, however there are 2 meeting rooms on... More

We came for a meal out and had the 2 for 1 on a Friday night and had the ribeye steak. It was amazing quality and every bite was enjoyed. So much so we went back the next night and had the same quality meal but chose another item of the menu. The staff were friendly and it had a... More

I chose the Grand for 1 night B&B for business last week. It came top of the pile on Tripadvisor and seemed to get good reviews for food and a nights sleep. The Grand is situated on the River, parking is outside and is only free between 6pm and 9am, but only a Euro an hour otherwise. The Check in... More

The Grand is a very friendly hotel and has great charm. Try having your breakfast in the bar where the locals join you for theirs too, so the craic is good. The rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed for four nights and would return. Good restaurant but you'll have to watch your waistline! All the staff were genuinely welcoming.... More

Stayed at the Grand a few weeks ago for two nights, we arrived early and were shown to our room straight away which was brilliant after a long journey. The girl on reception (Hannah) was just brill so welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely and big, very airy with large windows and clean. After a great nights sleep we... More

Well located in the middle of town and evoking times past in architecture and style. Friendly and helpful staff and good service. Room was large but facilities were rather basic - a shower that needed a lot of adjustment and a tiny TV with a small - and strange - selection of channels. Parking in the town centre is expensive... We stayed here with our family for a wedding in the area. It was lovely. We arrived Thursday and had a private meal upstairs on the friday. It was really nice and the staff are lovely here. Rooms are nice, we had a large family room 1st which was great and later had a room over the river. Breakfast what... More

This establishment is an old world hotel with outstanding food. The location is in an area of natural beauty, overlooking the Blackwater River, making it a most attractive place to stay. The quality of the food would be difficult to surpass. It is a true 'find' for dining. For value, they offer a two main courses for the price of... More

I can't thank reception enough. I have had to send a multitude of document for colleagues staying at the hotel. The staff have reacted promptly, efficiently and have kept me up to date every step of the way. This is definitely the kind of support you need as a business. Things don't always go to plan when administrating and this... More

I didn't have high hopes for this hotel. It seemed cheap so I suspected it may be grotty. However there is no other hotel in the town of Fermoy, so I had no choice. I had been to the hotel cafe /bar before and knew it was popular. I was quite surprised to find a spotlessly clean room, and furthermore... More
