After our disappointment in Dungloe we were so happy with Dunfanaghy in general and Forest Lodge in particular. The owner, Jean, is very friendly and the house is cosy and comfortable with a nice lounge and a warm atmosphere. The location is beautiful and close to stunning Holme Head. Chairs and a table in the garden were a welcome touch... More

We went to this wonderful bed and breakfast in September 2013 and were absolutely amazed. It is wonderfully decorated, the landlady and her family (if around) are wonderful and sweet persons, the breakfast, usually a really tasty full irish breakfast is as yummy as it is stuffing and its location, even though it is a little bit far from the... We really enjoyed our stay at Forest Lodge. Jean was warm and welcoming, breakfasts were yummy (with music playing softly), and the room oh-so-comfy. There was lots of room for parking and the B & B is within walking distance of town (if you're willing to walk 10-15 minutes). Her garden is lovely to sit in on good days, has... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed by the great location, overlooking the sea and with Horn Head drive and Tramore beach accessible just by stepping out the door. It's a short walk to Dunfanaghy and Marble Hill beach and Ards Forest Park are a short drive away. The room was very comfortable with a good ensuite,... More

Myself, my parents and my sister stayed here for a night recently and really enjoyed our stay. Jane was very welcoming and chatty and even drove us into town that evening. The rooms were clean and warm and the breakfast was one of the best ive ever had, accompanied with soft irish music in the background. I really loved the... More

We stayed here for one night while touring the coast. Warm welcome from Jean. Clean, cosy room and excellent breakfast. Lovely views from the b&b of the sea and forest. We walked into the town - v pleasant 10 minute walk - which has shops and a few nice bars. Jean let us keep our car on her drive the... More

Warm and welcoming hosts, with lots of helpful local information, very restful room, and breakfast served in a light filled dining/living area. We stayed there two nights in early June and loved every second of our stay. Magnificent Horn Head is an easy drive from this perfect home away from home. Jean and Jack are wonderful hosts, and we are... More

We have been visiting Dunfanaghy for many years and Forest Lodge is very much our first choice for accommodation. It is in a perfect location with easy access to facilities but is quiet and peaceful and has a great view into Sheephaven Bay. There are terrific walks to beautiful remote beaches and to the splendour of Horn Head. Jean is... More

Stayed for 2 nights and made to feel very welcome. The view from the garden is a real bonus. Our room was spacious with a large ensuite and very comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast and enjoyed relaxing in the lounge and helping ourselves to tea, coffee etc as required. The walk from beside the B&B to secluded beach is well worth... More
