1. Rang to ask for directions, got barked at on the phone. 2. Wifi was terrible in the room. 3. House alarm went off at 4am until 4.45am... Very nice! 4. Credit card details were taken but I had to pay cash... Which I didn't have on me so I had to drive back to the village to get money.... More

Overall, this is a great B & B, but it has some serious drawbacks. On the plus side: the location is wonderful; surrounded on all sides by gorgeous scenery, and although it's on a fairly main road, it's very quiet with hardly any passing traffic. It's about a 5 min drive from Enniskerry, 10 mins from Bray; not really accessible... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Coolakay House. The place is furnished in a fun and interesting way, and there are ponies on the premises. The room was clean. Breakfast was included in the stay as well (it was of average quality). The proprietor was also very nice, and drove us to dinner. There is some sort of a partnership... More

The host went or of get way to accommodate our needs and made us feel welcomed. Our room was in the annex and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the service during breakfast was attentive. I'd stay here again.

On our last night, we stayed at the Coolakay House in County Wicklow! What a gem! The room was most pleasant and very clean. Our host was most congenial. The best part of the stay were the views along the road. Within a mile of the Powercourt Waterfalls, the views are spectacular. Would suggest visiting this area if you want... More

Booked a room for one night for 7/21. The room was booked 2 months in advance and the lady asked for my credit card information to make sure she can charge me in case I didnt show up. However she did not do the same in return. She sent me an email a week before my arrival saying that "Due... More

Yvonne, our host, makes you feel like one of the family! Our 2 rooms looked as if they were newly decorated, just beautiful and exceptionally clean! The home had a lovely conservatory, and spacious breakfast room. There were also beautiful gardens you walk around and a cool big ball that you could sit in to take in the views of... More

I visited with my friend in July 2015. The location is simply mind blowing but the attitude of host towards Indian guest is pathetic. For white guests the access thro kitchen was granted with smiling welcome and for us big No No. When requested to put room heater on since temp was suddenly dropped to 11/ 12 deg; request was... Dear santosh1963 Thank you for taking the time to leave a review however I feel you should have been more honest in your review. We take great offence to your implied comment that we treat our 'white' guests differently. We value all our guests here and welcome people from all over the world and have never had any issues before.... More

Coolakay House B & B is a wonderful B & B located amongst surrounding beauty. When we arrived for our two night stay (June 30, July 1, 2015) we were warmly greeted by our hostess Yvonne Roe who served us coffee and cookies once we had moved our luggage into our clean spacious room. We walked up the steep hill... More

This was the first stop on the mini-tour of Ireland that my wife and I took on our recent honeymoon and it was certainly an ideal place for the likes of us to start off. Right away we were made to feel welcome and right at home by our lovely host, Yvonne. Ever accommodating and helpful, there was hardly a... More
