We stayed only one night at the hotel and had connecting rooms on the ground floor. We were surprised ho everything is so well finished and modern. The rooms were spacious, the restaurant was really good and staff was just super nice - thanks Breda for putting up with the kids and entertaining them! We had alovely time although short.... More

Merci Bien a vous .... Thank you for your kind words. Yes... Breda is the best and I marvel every other evening at how she handles situations with such cool and treats children the way a child would want every adult to treat them!! Very nice hotel room in this small town. Perfect for visiting the Cliffs of Moher. Best breakfest we had while in Ireland. Very short walk to town for meals or great food on site. Highly recommend this property if you want a great location for a night.

Thank you for an appreciative review Breakfast is a really important meal and we like to put an effort in. Mostly its me, Michael Vaughan cooking breakfast but often Christian will step in if I am away on other business. Either way we are stoked up now to continue with the efforts to make great breakfasts for our guests. Go... More

Checked in at 2.30 with the intention of heading out for the evening. The room was so comfortable we didn't leave until check out the next morning! I don't golf but if I did this is the perfect hotel. A couple of minutes walk from the village and the golf course. The service was professional and friendly. The only thing... More

Thanks for the review Our lounge has a couple of mementos of my time as a hotelier to personalise the space Just in case anyone thinks I have a portrait of Bertie like the Pope up on the wall (lol,) I have a nice photo including myself, the bold Bertie, Ex US president George Bush and others taken in Dromoland... 11 of us on a golf trip stayed at the Vaughan Lodge in Lahinch for two nights in July, 2012. The Lodge is the perfect size - big enough for all the amenities you expect for a larger hotel and small enough to get the focus and attention from a family owned business. Its only a 5 minute walk to... More

Thank you for such positive comment We are not entirely a golf hotel but at times golfers are in a majority We have a small enough place to offer quality in a seasonal place where it is often hard to maintain standards due to the vagaries of the weather and location. Our great team here at Vaughan Lodge are delighted... More

We stayed at Vaughan lodge for one night only in mid October.I have to say it was a great stay, staff were very friendly upon arrival and were happy to answer any questions. The room was extremely spacious, bed very comfy..only one small thing which was no tea/coffee facilities in room but nothing major to worry about.Although it was coming to the end... Our second stay at Vaughn Lodge proved to be just as good as our first visit in 2009. Clean, comfortable, quiet and walking distance to restaurants/shopping/golf, we had a most relaxing stay. If ever back to this part of Ireland, we will certainly return to Vaughn Lodge.

I spoke recently to an owner who had a disaster the second time round with a revisiting guest!! Hero to zero is not a space we like to be in as hoteliers. Spent a saturday night here in late summer. Room was fine but pretty standard for this level. The restaurant was seriously good for a relatively small hotel. Pleasant bar area as well.Overall a sense of a well run establishment with high standards of service.

Thanks for the kind words. Our hotel is seasonal which makes it twice as tough as a year round hotel to keep standards. It's like opening a new hotel each season. I'm glad you enjoyed the stay especially given your pen name lol!! More

From making the call to follow up with Martina and Linda, this hotel exceeds all expectations. First impressions are warm, inviting, clean, professional.
