We approached the Moy House after quite a long day of travelling around Lahinch. At first I was confused because it did not look exactly like the photos I had seen on line - but then I realized a lot of the photos are taken showing the back of the house - which is truly quite different from the front!... the room was indeed nicely decorated but very unconfortable with a small double bed with the head part of the bed being lower than the legpart, giving a serious attack of heartburn. In the middel of the night we turned around with our heads towards the legpart of the bed. The dining in this hotel is very nice, with excellent... More

The Moy House is the place to stay near the Cliffs of Mohr. There are 5 or 6 bedrooms that are all wonderful. Our friends insisted we take the huge room downstairs with fireplace and sitting room with floor to ceiling windows. What a gorgeous view across the lawn to the water!! Horses frolicked in the water everyday. The living... More

I'm writing this review in Buenos Aires in the cold daydreaming about Moy House where I have stayed on three occasions, during the past 3 years... the first arriving alone by car, the second arriving by train to meet friends and the third, driving with a Brazilian friend who persuaded me to take her there less than a month after I... Moy House is excellent. The breakfast is outstanding, lots of food (embarrassingly we could not eat it all), and it is all fresh and mostly locally grown. It is a country manor and you feel like you are living in a house. It is secluded and quiet with great views of the Atlantic. The rooms are clean. The one area... More

I went here with my husband for a few days 'to get away from it all'. Moy House was a perfect place for this. We had a beautiful room with exceptional views of the wild Atlantic sea. The restaurant serves a supper on Sundays which was a real treat. The breakfast was superb but this place is not defined by... More

I stayed here sometime before 2007 with my husband and another couple and it has been one of the highlights of all my travels. The room overlooked a pristine bay with sheep dotting the pasture. It's in a remote, rather windswept spot, but inside is a world unto its own. The main meeting room is elegant, cozy and relaxed and... More

Lovely old hotel with superb food and facilities. You feel like you are staying in a grand country house with silver service dining even at breakfast. Lots of little special touches make this hotel a notch above the rest. A newspaper on your door in the mornings, gifts on your pillow at night and the slippers which you can take... More

Our second visit to Moy showed us what an exceptionally good property this has become, with superb food and service. The welcome, the orientation to the property, the chef’s tasting menu dinner - worthy of 3 stars - and especially the fireplace in the junior suite and the view of the sea made our visit perfect.

This was an amazing place - the place is over 300 years old yet the rooms were 21st century comfortable! Highly recommend - the view is breathtaking. Suggest trying the dinner - 4 course meal that was absolutely delicious - cream of cauliflower soup with a bit of truffle to start followed by a beet salad with fresh local goat... More
