I have never found the need to review a hotel stay until this past weekend. Room was wildly overpriced, bath side panel was split and dangerous. Bedroom window glass was cracked. The shower was a mixer tap which ranged from cold to burning hot despite firstly setting the temperature. The only item I asked for was an iron - which... More

Visited here in April 2013. We went here for food. Nice atmosphere old style. Food was pricey and the portions were poor. I thought that we did not get much considering how much it was costing. I can honestly say that we left this place feeling hungry. We were supposed to have a plate of chips with each meal but... More

We stayed here again in January. The hotel is very good and has nice friendly staff. There is very limited parking but there is a public car park near by. The food here is second to none as is the relaxing atmosphere with a great big fire. I would strongly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again next... More

A large group of friends and I stayed in the Atlantic Hotel and Shamrock Inn last weekend (both are owned by the same owners). From the initial contact with the reservations team to when we checked out I could not speak highly enough of the hotel and more importantly the genuinely friendly and professional service we received from all the... We came to dine. We asked a few people where to go for dinner. They said if you want a good steak, go here. It was cozy, sat right next to the fire and had a very leisurely dinner. A little pricey, but the atmosphere, flavor and portions were right on target.

Didn't stay there, just popped in for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were verry nice and made a great fuss of me and my friends.Portions are very big but the only problem was it was verry expensive.

Stayed here last night on our trip around Ireland. The decor in the hotel is rich with old furnishings - has a feel of being in a stately old manor. The room we were in was spacious overlooking the main street although our friends were in a much smaller one which was cramped. The ensuites were well sized. The meals... More

It was an average stay. We were there for two nights. It definitely needs a little update but i kind of loved having an actual key for our door, I cant remember the last time I've stayed at a place without a doorcard. The bed was uncomfortable. Being an older hotel, the soundproofing as you should expect is very much... More

If you want a game of golf at Lahinch, then this will do just fine to stay. Don't take a front room as the street light will keep you awake. BUT great staff, great food, happy atmosphere and so welcoming. Needs a bit up dating but that's Ireland!!

My husband and I traveled to Ireland in May, so it was not crowded at all. We did not have a reservation and were given a good rate. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless as was the bathroom (I even felt comfortable taking a bath!). The restaurant was cozy with a peat fire and spot on food!... More
