We ended our Ireland vacation with two relaxing nights at Dromoland. It was a perfect way to finish. The castle and grounds are amazing. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I realize it is a castle, but I found the activities and spa to be extremely expensive. There is not much to do at the castle and all activities... More

While the hotel at Dromoland Castle is a very nice property, it is overpriced for the value. This property is not a sister property, as was implied, to Ashford Castle. Dromoland Castle Hotel has a lot to accomplish if they want to be considered in the same league as Ashford Castle. I am not saying it was not pleasant or... More

This was day six of our visit to Ireland and I wish we had been able to stay longer than one night. What splendor! As you drive on to the property, you are immediately impressed by the gardens, and trees, and the golf course - then you see the Castle. I have never had the opportunity to stay in such... More

Excellent family stay, staff, food, decor and activities were all first class, we did the clay shooting, archery, falconry, fishing (caught 3 rainbow trout the chef prepared for our dinner) and horse drwn carrage ride around the grounds, all very memorable for the family.

We stayed at Dromoland Castle Hotel one night because of our flight from Shannon Airport the next day. Arrived at 2:30pm before our rooms were available- so we decided to have the afternoon tea- Lovely service, delicious sandwiches and pastries and tea or coffee of our choice. Interesting public rooms and furniture. Our rooms were finally available at 4:30pm and... More

Dromoland castle is a stately and gorgeous castle. It's grounds are situated on the beautiful west coast. The service we received was second to none. Everyone there seemed to go out of their way to help. A definite must for any trip to Ireland.

Historic, beautiful place with modern amenities and excellent service. The Falconry outing was a highlight but so was the skilled and patient archery guide. A magical introduction to Ireland for the whole family.

Well, for starters, it's a castle -- a real one. You can't beat the ambiance, the decor and the staff. Fun to explore, walk down the hallways, walk the grounds -- you never know what you might stumble across. All three restaurants and the bar are extraordinary. That said, the rooms are a little tired and could use some refreshing.... More

Everything was perfect and friendly, first class. Being from the USA, we could not get over how friendly and attentive the staff was. The staff was there for anything we needed for our first night in Ireland. We stayed in several other manor/hotels but my wife compared them all to Dromoland.

Very warm welcoming reception. Formal dining room nice but not exceptional. Spa services were less than stellar....worst nail/polish ever....done in dismal lighting. Eventually refunded charge. Grounds beautiful, but more golf course than other.
