What a wonderful place to stay, relax, and enjoy. The staff were exceptional. The facilities comfortable. and the grounds just gorgeous. We had a marvelous dinner that was served in a most appropriate timely fashion so we could enjoy our meal without being rushed, and without wondering when the next course would show up. All the bartending staff were quite... More

Our last two nights in Ireland were spent at the Dromoland Castle. It was an excellent stay and we all greatly enjoyed the Castle and its timeless elegance. The grounds, room and facilities were all top notch. While the stay was not perfect (see below) we will absolutely stay here again. The dining room, lounge and breakfast were all great... More

We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and choose Dromoland Castle. Our stay was superb from the food the wine the accommodation but mostly the staff. They were all so friendly so willing to help and the General Manager was outstanding. He introduced himself to us bought us a drink and made us feel so welcome. I will most certainly... More

We stayed in several places (7) during our 10 days in Ireland, B+B's, Hotels and 1 castle. All were very nice, some with great views and location, all with nice people, and good food, but for superior accommodations, amenities, hospitality, food and service, Dromoland was Great! It cost a few more $$$ to stay there and dine, but we feel... More

Staying in an Irish castle is not something I ever thought I would do. Dromoland Castle was a dream come true. Rooms are spacious, extra large bathroom with both tub and separate shower and high end notions. The quality of the linens, drapes and towels is remarkable. We also had robes and slippers. Take advantage of the falconry experience! Dining... More

From the beautiful drive up to the Castle, to the treatment by the staff, we knew that we were in for a special stay. Lovely grounds, friendly, helpful staff and spectacular surroundings made our three day stay very memorable. Wonderful breakfasts and excellent bar service. We certainly plan to return.

We chose Dromoland first for its location to the Shanoon airport and second well, because it was a former "castle". I agree with another reviewer that it is a former manor home. They upgraded our room which was appreciated since our stay was the last accommodation of a 2 week stint through Scotland and Ireland. We had previously stayed at... More

The bad part was having only one night available to stay here. A very attentive staff, beautiful grounds, wonderful room, excellent food. Just a great visit. would love to stay here again on our next trip to Ireland.

Excellent service and very attentive staff. The grounds were spectacular. 15 minutes from Shannon airport. Golfer's paradise. The building is a former small manor house with additions that complement the original building. Enjoyed the tour with the birds of prey, actually was able to fry hawks for hunting. Be prepared for intermittent rain showers, at least 8 a day, but... More

Dear Gerald P Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, I am delighted that you enjoyed your recent stay at Dromoland Castle. You can indeed expect some light rain showers in May, but just enough to keep the grass green! I hope we have the pleasure of your company if traveling in Ireland in the... More

Staff is unreal in their pursuit to make you feel like royalty! The grounds were magnificent. Highly rec. the jawnty cart tour. Provides an abundance of history of the O'Brien family's heritage at the castle!
