A real disappointment. Paper thin mattresses, broken showers, and a hair dryer that must be shared by several rooms, all in sparsely furnished rooms (our party used three). My wife and I and our friends have stayed at the Lodge many times in the past ten years. It's the best place to stay anytime your are in that area. Stayed at Hunters Lodge upon arriving from Shannon airport. If you're not pressed for time on your journey, this is the perfect place to relax for a couple of days and shake off your jetlag. Stayed there upon arrival in Shannon. The friendliest hosts you can imagine. Great pub with tasty food. Perfect first night stayover before a trip to the Cliffs of Moher. We are planning our next trip to Ireland and we will definetely stay at Hunter's Lodge again. more
