We had a lovey 6 night stay at Caldera B&B in Buncrana on the beautiful Inishowen peninsula. The B&B was perfect - very clean, comfortable, tasteful, roomy, and a good location for exploring both the peninsula, other areas of Co Donegal and Derry. We were made to feel really welcome and fed very well, and would definitely stay again if... More

We booked to stay here as we couldn't find any other accommodation for 3 people. It was ideal for the location but other than that it wasn't great. We paid for 2 nights and fair enough we were leaving early when we went home but we wasn't offered any sort of breakfast whatsoever which I thought was a bit bad.... More

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Caldra not least for the breathtaking view across the lough from our bedroom window. I can't understand some previous reviews as the room was very clean and comfortable with a table and chairs to relax in and take in the view. Sunny days and blue sky helped make this a memorable visit to... More

Stayed here for two nights after a mix up due to an over booking at another B&B , first night we arrived we had to ring the door bell five times and knock on the door several times as their family were having dinner and it felt like we were imposing. She showed us to or room and started to... More

Would not recommend. Very poor host, did not feel welcome or comfortable Was not asked once how or stay was. Felt like it was the case of get up get fed and get out!. Room was slightly cold and dusty. Ripped bed sheets on the bed with no pillow case cover and towels were old and washed out. No running... More

My parents, sister's family and my family all stayed at Caldra following a wedding. The place met our needs perfectly. The owner Marie was very pleasant and accommodating. The location was walking distance (about 15 minutes) into the town. There is a beautiful walk along by the river in the Swan park that you can access at the bottom of... More

I stayed in this B&B recently and it was the worst experience I have ever had in any kind of holiday accommodation I've been in my whole life. I hadn't even arrived at the B&B and I got a bad impression of the place. I'd reserved the room specifying it was for 1 person and was given a confirmation email... More

Caldra was a lovely stay. Marie is friendly and helpful but not overly solicitous. She was nearby and ready and willing to respond if you needed anything but your privacy is respected. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious served in a lovely dining area. The view alone is worth the stay. The downtown area is... More

This B&B was outside the charming town of Buncrana .The house was beautifully decorated and our room was large and comfortable. We only stayed one night and enjoyed the delicious breakfast which our hostess Marie prepared .Parking was a little tight but we made the best of it.We really enjoyed our stay here and would return if we were visiting... we had a wonderful stay at the Caldra. Four nights and four Irish breakfasts later we were glad we stayed there. Marie took care of us and made us feel at home. Buncrana also turned out to be a great place to start our day of ancestry searches and tours of Inishowen towns. we hope to visit again and now... More
