We were a group of 23 people who wanted a location where we were all close with some Irish charm. The cottages at Abhainn Ri fit our need perfectly. We stayed for a week and from our warm welcome by Joe and Niamh to our departure we felt right at home. The cottages are very well equipped and the views... More

I had booked a 3 night getaway as a surprise for my boyfriend and we loved every moment. Being animal and nature lovers it was a blessing to be able to wake up surrounded by the farm animals and the breathtaking views. Niamh and Joe could not be nicer and we cannot wait to go back!! If you want to... More

Recently returned from a three night stay at Abhainn Ri. The first thing thats strikes you is the beautiful scenery that surrounds this location. We were fortunate to have good weather and the views from the cottage were amazing. My best advice to get there is to use google maps, its not that difficult but the roads on the way... More

We were looking for somewhere for my parents, my sister's family and my family to spend a week together and we found the perfect place. The facilities for my Father who has mobility difficulties were great! Everyone is catered for here. For my sisters 2 young children(5 & 7yrs old) feeding the hen's, pigs, chicks and donkeys with Joe and... More

After watching the film "P.S I Love You", myself and 2 friends decided to visit Ireland. Abhainn Ri is very close to a lot of the places seen in the film, including Blessington Lake and Ballyknockan. We definitely chose the right place to stay for our trip - a lovely warm welcome for Niamh and some beautiful scones on arrival.... More

We finally wanted to make our dream come true and go to Ireland. We wanted to experience the beautiful countryside, wild nature and famous hospitality of the Irish. My parents and I decided to stay at Abhainn Ri and explore the East Coast and Wicklow Mountains from there. And all of our dreams came true, and to a large part... More

After traveling to Ireland and staying here a year and a half ago, my wife and I were lucky enough to get back for another week, this time with my wife's brother and his wife who had never been to Ireland. The quality of the accommodations and the view from the cottages is simply unbeatable. Add to that Niahmh's hospitality... More

Just spent a long weekend in Aibhainn Ri with my wife and 18 month old daughter. First, the bad stuff - the travel cot provided was uncomfortable and.... I can't think of anything else bad to say! This place is amazing. It's situated well outside any town (it's slightly closer to Ballymore than Blessington I'd say) and has stunning views... More

We had a wonderful time at Abhainn Ri in August 2012. The setting truly is breathtaking, just stunningly beautiful. The cottage was very clean and was fully supplied with everything from tea bags to tongs. We did plenty of day trips and we also enjoyed exploring the Abhainn Ri fields and reservoir. Feeding the animals on the farm was a... More
