Hey, I recently stayed at Kinnitty Castle with my partner for a weekend away. We loved every minute of it. its a property of real charm and homeliness, staff were excellent and so welcoming!! The castle itself is full to the brim with olde world charm, with stairs and antique furniture everywhere. The Dungeon Bar is a great place for... more

I have read the other reviews on this site and noticed that all seem to be from 2007 and therefore I decided to do the 2008 review. I have stayed at Kinnitty Castle twice this year as a guest on their Most Haunted Ireland packages. The first was in April and the second for the Halloween weekend. Both times were... more

This was our first time at a castle and it was amazing! The building was beautiful, our room was everything I expected it would be and more, and the food was excellent. My husband and I liked it very much. more

We have just returned from a one night stay in Kinnity Castle as we were at a wedding. The castle has 37 bedrooms and boasts that it has been welcoming visitors since 1209. Long the haunt of celebrity weddings, the castle has an atmosphere and certain old world charm about it if that is your kind of thing. There are... more

We were looking for a night away with good food/wine in a country house style hotel where we could sit in a nice bar with fire etc. Kinnitty was chosen and on arriving , we thought this was looking good. From the outside, the hotel looks great. Fantastic setting under the Slieve bloom mountains. that was as good as it... more

Myself & my Partner having never really celebrated New Year decided to spend it in Kinnity Castle with another couple. Overnight stay & New Year Ball cost €400 per couple. On booking I was told that there would be fireworks at midnight. ....No fire works and no explanation either. The "Ely O Carroll" room was OK but dusty. Breakfast the... more

Went for overnight stay in Kinnitty castle week before Halloween and had fab night! We were upgraded to Bridal suite with gorgeous boat shaped bed -carved from mahogony-fab bathroom(whiuch was the castle turret) complete with porceline freestanding bath-aboslute heaven. Kinnitty castle is the real deal -it has not been plastered and painted within an inch of its life to 5star... more

I was staying here for a friends wedding and although I wasn't expecting ultra modern I at least expected clean. We were shown to our room with a bed that has seen better days. The mattress was sunken in the middle and every time you turned in the bed it would creak loudly for all to hear. The conversation on... more
