This hotel is falling apart. It is very old fashioned and needs a lot of work. The walls are paper thin and it is full of leaky pipes and damp. The elevators do not work properly and there wasn't even a kettle in our room or a remote for the tv! The tv is tiny and the window would not... More

According to the ad on Escapes.ie the hotel "boasts a brand-new steakhouse and bar" but we didnt see it and it was never mentioned to us by the receptionist. The "rooftop restaurant" is a large function room with absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. We were the only ones in it and it was so awkward and quiet. We were given a... More

While the bedroom was reasonably acceptable for the price paid, there was no parking at the hotel itself, no wifi outside the reception area and an abysmal restaurant where we had the misfortune to eat one evening. The Guinness tap wasn't working and after one glass of white wine, we were told that there was no more available - and... More

We had a lovely room on the fourth floor with great views of the Castle ruins and the sea. everything we needed including lots of hot water and a good shower. Staff really helpful, nice atmosphere, breakfast and evening meals excellent. The views from the rooftop restuarant are spectacular, on one side rolling hills and on the other the Atlantic. Will... We had booked this place for one night. On the way into Ballybunion, we asked someone for directions to the hotel and they looked a bit surprised that we were staying there. We didn't understand this reaction until we arrived outside the hotel. We actually drove past it twice just to make sure it was the right place! It looked... More
