We stayed at the Avarest in early August and had a lovely stay. The room was lovely, the location perfect and a friend of Deirdre's who happened to be dropping by the B&B even gave us a ride to Bunratty Castle for our dinner there! Thanks Mr. Quinn!!! Our stay was very pleasurable, our room awesome and breakfast was lovely... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Avarest. The room was beautiful and immaculate and the hosts very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. The location is great, very close to Bunratty castle, one exit up off the motorway.

I was booked at another B&B near Avarest for my last night in Ireland prior to an early flight back to the US, but a day or two before I was told that there was a plumbing problem and they arranged for me to stay at Avarest instead. I was very satisfied with the switch and was glad that they... More

My extended family of 9, ages 20-84 stayed here for just one night as a convenient place to be to catch an early morning flight out of Shannon. It was perfect. Very nice B and B that we would have loved to enjoy longer. My family of 5 stayed in the large family room which was awesome. The grandparents enjoyed... More

Wanting to visit Bunratty castle we accidentally came upon B&B Avarest. And lucky we were we did. Deirdre - our host - so friendly. Room luxurious. Besides having the use of a breakfast/lunch/dining room guests are also allowed to make use of a nice living room + fridge. Bunratty castle (and village) absolute must, within 15 minutes driving distance. The... More

My wife and I spent our last night in Ireland here about 10 days ago. Diedre is a terrific host who prepares a wonderful breakfast. She is charming, witty and very helpful. Our room was clean and quiet, perhaps a bit on the small size. The bathroom was small. There are no wash cloths, if that is important to you.... More

My sister and I were in Ireland to celebrate her 50th and my college graduation. We chose this B&B because we were seeing Christy Moore at GLOR. Deidre and Freddy were the best hosts we had in Ireland! We stayed in three different B&Bs on both the East and West Coast of Ireland and we were so thankful that this... More

I along with 8 friends just spent the night at Avarest B & B in Bunratty. Deidre and Fred were wonderful hosts. Their children were adorable, polite and very sociable. The sleeping accommodations were great and the breakfast was delicious. Deidre made sure to have our breakfast ready early the next morning as we had an early flight. She also... More

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this B&B! Diedra was so gracious and welcoming to us from the moment we arrived until the moment we said goodbye. She made my family like we we were friends visiting, not paying guests. The room was beautiful with very comfortable beds and the shower was amazing! Definitely must try the French toast! My... More
