We received a very warm welcome and greatly enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to Shannon airport, the rooms are very nicely furnished, and the sitting room and breakfast room are quite attractive. Also, the rates are very reasonable. Please note that credit cards are not accepted. Travelling with our son, we had a room with a double and... more

What can I say but that my wife and I had a great experience at Bunratty Lodge. Mary made us reservations for the castle banquet (fun, fun, fun!!). The room was comfortable and cleaner than a lot we stayed in around Ireland. She has awards on the wall for her breakfast and I can see why. The home baked bread... more

Our room was very nice, and at the back end of the hall. It had two double beds which were comfortable. The shower is quite hot and powerful. Mary is charming, and the sitting room was nice. Her house is just down the road from the castle and Durty Nelly’s. To save tourists money, she has discontinued breakfast, so we... more

We had a lovely stay at the Bunratty Lodge. The establishment is nice and spacious with comfortable sitting areas. Mary was kind and very helpful with anything we needed to help our travels. Would recommend this B and B to travelers wishing to visit Bunratty. more

Very comfy B&B (really more like an inn). Mary was so sweet and attentive. Made our last night in Ireland very comfortable. Easy to get to the airport from Bunratty Lodge. If you want to go to Bunratty Castle, it would be quite a walk, but an easy straight shot to drive. Very nice place to stay! more

We stayed there only for 1 night, before the flight back home to US. For just the 2 of us - we had a huge room (1 king size bed and 2 queens) which Mary (our gracious host) thought would come in handy for packing. We did not have enough time to enjoy the Bunratty Lodge – we had an... more

We stayed September 14, 2007. Mary Browne was very friendly and helpful. She was able to tell us what time we needed to leave for the airport. She even prepared breakfast a little early so we could eat. The traditional Irish breakfast was very good. The jam was wonderful - a mixture of fruits. We had the family room and... more

When I found out a few days before departure for Ireland that there was a mix-up in the reservations for 4 people at another B&B in the area, I began a search on the internet and Mary Browne was one of the first to respond and was the most helpful. Since all four of us ladies are 65-70 and in... more

We booked our holiday to rid ourselves of cars, but were shocked but accepted a long walk from Bunratty to the Lodge. Mary, if you read this, let people know the true extent of the Low Road. (I'm hoping more people choose to walk rather than travel by car to save carbon emissions) However, it did put us in the... more

Arrived late at night, it was no problem to Mary. Lovely twin ensuite room with great shower . Only stayed 1 night but really enjoyed it. Mary was lovely and we had a gorgeous full irish breakfast. The place was immaculately clean and well decorated. more
