We stayed here our first day in Ireland and had a nice stay. It's a few minutes by car to Bunratty Castle and about a 20 minute walk there (although I wouldn't recommend walking at night since there are no sidewalks and there was 2-way (fast) traffic. I had my flashlight with me so cars would know there were people... More

We were made to feel most welcome after the long flight. Tea and snacks were great, room was wonderful and bed was comfy. Highly recommended. Easy walking distance to Bunratty Castle and historical park.

We had a group of 11 cyclists/hikers staying with Sheila & Frank for the final night of our trip to Ireland. They were most helpful in allowing us to print up our boarding passes on their computer/printer, and lent us a luggage scale as well (Ryanair, what can I say?) They were most welcoming and patient with us, and the... More

Sheila and Frank gave my niece and I a very warm welcome! Sheila is a great baker and we had scones with jam and clotted cream the 2 nights we stayed with them! No other B&B we stayed at had scones! We stayed the night we arrived to Shannon Airport and the night before we were leaving. I also loved... More

A person at Bunratty Castle recommended this B&B and it was an excellent recommendation. It was in a very natural settings just minutes from the castle. Our host and hostess gave much effort to assure our room comfort as well as use of the common room. We were a nice room for four adults. The view from the common room... More

Sheila and her husband were very welcoming to our large group. She made us feel right at home. In fact, we ended up staying an extra night. Walking distance to Durty Nellies and Bunratty Castle/folk park. Good times were had by all! We would stay here again when we return.

Our hosts for our recent visit to Bunratty were very accommodating. Shiela even went to the bother of looking up and booking accommodations for us on the next part of our trip to the Kerry region. The only reason I gave this B&B 4 stars instead of 5 was because the room we had was very cramped, my wife had... More

We stay here every time we are in Bunratty. Frank and Sheila are the epitome of Irish hospitality. Always a warm welcome and a fantastic stay. The Guesthouse is in a great location as it's only half a mile from Bunratty town but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. Don't miss out!

We've stayed with Frank and Sheila 6 times, always at the beginning and end of our trips, and our conversations with them continue to be our fondest memories of Ireland. It feels like staying with friends, and their breakfast is the best we've ever had. Sheila's little dog, Sydney, deserves a medal for cheering up our daughter when she was... More

We stayed with two kids in a nice room. Very pleasant host lent baby cot fot free. Breakfast was good and rich. House is close to castle by car. Definitely recommendable if you're in Bunratty. Booking was made by phone without any prepayment.
