Our party of 8 stayed at Ashgrove House for 2 nights end of March 2015. Sheila welcomed us with THE BEST IRISH COFFEE !! . She is the most giving, accommodating, considerate, and great at breakfast with her warm conversations. I only stay here when visiting the Shannon area.. Frank and Sheila have become my home when I visit Ireland.... More

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashgrove House and Shelia and Frank the owners. The rooms are warm and cozy - just like Sheila!! The house is clean and nicely decorated. Sheila recommended sights to see and restaurants to try. She also made sure we were up in time to catch our flight home from Ireland (sadly). I give... More

When we arrived after an overnight flight, Sheila hustled us to our rooms for a time-change adjustment nap. She had the beds pre-warmed with heated mattress pads. This was so welcome on a chilly late September morning. We were greeted with the best Irish Coffee ever after our nap and freshening up. She and Frank are so lively and welcoming.... More

I flew from San Francisco to Shannon overnight - so you can imagine I was a bit sleepy by the time I stumbled into Ashgrove House. After a quick, 3-hour power nap, one that Sheila made sure not to let us oversleep, we were greeted with Irish coffees and suggestions as to how to spend the afternoon. She also helped... More

Absolutely fantastic B&B. Great accommodations with super room and parlor, delightful afternoon tea and breakfast. Beautiful gardens and grounds, and within easy walking distance to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Shela and Frank supplied excellent conversation, and saw to every desire. They assured every detail was superbly covered.

We don't often stay in B & B's and didn't know what to expect when introduced to Sheila and Frank. What delightful people they are and they couldn't do enough to help us including driving us to Limerick and making the most wonderful scones for breakfast. They were happy to talk with us on any subject and always available if... More

Sheila and Frank could not be more pleasant or hospitable. They also both have a wonderful sense of humor. We were settled into our room early and it was lovely and quite comfortable. Sheila even woke us up after just the right length of nap to be rested while still adjusting quickly to our new time zone. Breakfasts were enormous... More

We stayed here our first day in Ireland and had a nice stay. It's a few minutes by car to Bunratty Castle and about a 20 minute walk there (although I wouldn't recommend walking at night since there are no sidewalks and there was 2-way (fast) traffic. I had my flashlight with me so cars would know there were people... More
