This was the only hotel we stayed in on our 2 week trip around Ireland. It was a very welcome treat in the middle of our trip, with spacious rooms, internet and a wonderful pool & spa. The location is excellent for visiting Bunratty - easy walking distance to the castle & folk park and Blarney Woollen Mills. The pub... more

This was an average hotel. There is nothing amazing about the hotel. When I had breakfast, a tour group was having breakfast at the same time and there was a HUGE line. It was annoying, and the breakfast wasn't even good. Unless there isn't anything else good in the area, I would go back. more

This hotel is very comfortable and professionally run. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, and the hotel has a pleasant bar. The standout for us was the service -- extra attention fom the incredible front desk employee Javier, who went way out of his way to help us change complicated travel arrangements and get one sick member of our... more

My thoughts on the hotel... ROOMS: We stayed in the family room which contained 2 double beds. The room was huge. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and even a little sitting area with a couch. Never once did we feel cramped. There was a thermostat in the room. We chose not to have our... more

We were given a family room which was very well appointed and roomy. Only quibble might be lack of TV channels but it wasn't a big issue. I was impressed with the quietness - usually it is all too easy to hear everything going on in rooms around about you but we didn't have that experience. Food was reasonably good.... more

Having travelled to Ireland before, I know what it's like to arrive there after a long overnight flight. So I booked the Bunratty Castle Hotel for 2 nights, beginning the night before our arrival, thus ensuring us a room upon an early morning arrival. Upon check-in we then had a good breakfast, and retired to our room. I fell asleep,... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night, mainly because of its close proximity to Bunratty Castle. We were within walking distance of the castle and the Blarney Woolen Mills and several pubs. The hotel itself is a 3 star, I believe, I would attribute that to it's age. The outside of the hotel was well maintained, and the ground... more

Our first visit to Ireland - we came for a rugby trip to watch the Osprey's play Munster in the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup - I won't say any more about that!! The hotel was brilliant - beautiful decor, a huge bed with fresh Irish linen, and a tastefully furnished room. The bathroom was very modern with plenty... more

Stayed in a "triple" room with girlfriends I was touring Ireland with and it was our last night in Ireland. Arrived during a wedding reception with cocktail hour or something in the lobby and it was great fun with Irish dancers coming in later to entertain at the reception. Very close to Bunratty Castle (we attended a banquet), Durty Nelly's... more

We stayed here on our honeymoon. We were a little dissapointed that we received no extras with being a honeymoon couple, dispite telling the hotel on booking. The check in was a little confusing, they asked to see a credit card, asked us to enter our pin for what we presumed was half of the bill, but only did this... more
