Stayed here for a weekend of dog shows. Was here last year too. Dismayed however at the €25 charge for the dog this year considering the room was barely large enough for his crate. I travel a lot for shows & the dog always stay free. Otherwise a lovely hotel, clean, nice location & friendly staff, although next year I... More

My children and I went back for our 2nd stay of our trip home from the Middle East to a welcome one would only expect from close friends or family. A warmer welcome and hospitality second to none was what greeted us and what sent us home. A huge thank you to Jacintha and her family and the staff in... More

From the moment we arrived (my parents, myself and my 3 young children) we were made to feel most welcome. A friendlier place, with friendlier people we have not come across before now. The staff (a Family run hotel and bar) could not do enough for us and went completely out of their way to ensure my 3 children especially... More

Dear Madam, Upon your arrival, our receptionist upgraded your room from a single room with no seaview to a room with two doubles and a seaview. I am surprised to hear that you felt that she or her actions were sarcastic given this unwarranted gesture of goodwill that she bestowed upon you. As explained previously madam, the reasons the security... More

Nice location (2 minutes walk from the sea) and a proper old-school hotel - that being a compliment especially if you spent alot of time in those samey hotels dotted around the country that all blend into one. O'Sheas has a nice family-run feel to it - the decor, the narrow corridors, friendly staff and home cooked food were all... More

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are deliughted that you relished the old-school charm our hotel exudes. We are indeed a family run establishment and so like to give the 'home away from home' setting to help our guests settle in. The food is something we pride ourselves in so we are grateful for your mention of... More

O'Shea's is in need of a huge revamp will never visit the place again the carvery lunch was cold and tasteless no atmosphere and staff talk among themselves as if the customer is invisible, floors are dirty delph and cutlery are odd I expect to receive hotel quality but not in O'Sheas

We are sorry to hear that you felt that way about the hotel. Indeed it is not an uber-modern hotel that are being cloned around the world these days. This is a conscious choice we have taken given that we prefer a less formal, family-run atmosphere, hence the sometimes mismatched cutlery and delph. I am surprised to read that you... More

O'Shea's Hotel is a good value, clean, friendly hotel located close to the beach; with a really nice restaurant and good bars. Tramore is a bit noisy at night but that's a given. We didn't have dinner as we were attending a birthday party but breakfast was perfect ...perfectly cooked with top quality granary bread.
