Stayed here last year and the place was very average but also extremely cheap. There are no airs and graces about the place. If they revamped and restored it to its former glory, i'm sure they could be a lot more upmarket but they recognise their client base and sensibly stick to it. Everything is cleaned to a good standard... more

For the 2nd year running i have returned to the grand hotel. This yeah there was a new receptionist called Meena who i have to say for me nd the children made the trip most enjoyable. This is obviously somebody who enjoys her job and nothing was 2 much trouble for her and for that reason i will return again.... more

This is one of the places we dined in while staying in Tramore. It was recommended by the B&B we stayed in and we were told about live music in the main bar that night, so we decided to give it a try. The place was very busy but we had a nice table beside the window. We had a... more

We have just returned from a long weekend staying at the Grand Hotel, Tramore and feel sooo disapointed. We arrived on the Friday , The hotel looks dated on the outside and not quite as good as the photos on the internet site. The hotel is also located further up the hill but in a nicer part with a lovely... more

I don't normally enter in comments into hotel reviews - but feel compelled in this case This is not a 3 star hotel ! When was this rating approved - in the 70's !!!! Its obvious that the good comments made on previous posts about this hotel were put in by staff working in this hotel. This is why we... more

Just back from a 2-night stay in The Grand Hotel...our second stay here and, once again, thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The charming lady on Reception on Sunday afternoon made us feel so welcome as we checked in and that personal attention continued for the duration of our stay. May I commend the Grand on their wonderful staff, especially Paul, (Breakfast),... more

I planned to stay one night in the Grand Hotel for a concert. It was my first time in Ireland and from the minute I called the hotel to make a reservation until the day I left I was treated so wonderfully. As a lone traveler in a faraway place, I didn't know what to expect. But I had such... more

I stayed for two nights during the Tramore Racing Festival and was pleasantly surprised by the Grand Hotel. It has a great location and the room was clean and comfortable. The reason I'm actually bothering to write this review is because of the warm friendly staff that I encountered. Being Irish I've always felt that our "famous hospitality" was over... more

Excellent service, great food and excellent value for money are the words i would use to describe this fabulous old fashioned hotel, where the customer definitely comes first. We had a group of 18 down for the races on the June Bank Holiday weekend just gone and found the place to be an ideal base for the casual racegoer or... more
