Whilst visiting Youghal i checked this B&B out on behalf of my sister who had made a provisional booking for 2016. After checking reviews on TripAdvisor i told her it would be a disaster and sure enough.......... It looks run down and very shabby. No sign of life at all. The building still had signs up stating it was a... More

This is a cowardly review as I did not give the owner a chance to defend herself but the quality of the establishment was so utterly appalling that I have to warn people. The owner was a very nice lady and it did seem clean but that is the end of the good. I don't know where to start with... More

We were too tired to drive to cork so we decided to stop in Youghal lovely small city. Found Evergreen house and just stayed one night for a stop over before cork. Room was quite large compared to other bed and breakfasts we stayed in. The host of the house was very welcoming and helped us in anyway she could... More

Fabulous Zelma accepted us when we just arrived , she was kind to us and very welcoming. We felt like at home. My wife got to the hostel sick and she didn't stop worry about her with hot tea and so. The price was cheap and we got more then in other places.

Location of the house is fantastic, its almost on the beach itself. Its really cute house, bit oldish but clean and rooms are decent size. We really liked the old lady that runs place. Breakfast was delicious and price was right. i recommend it.

Unbelievably poor condition. Where to start.... private parking?? Had to park up the road as all the houses in the area use the same spot as the so called b+b. The house is so run down the pictures must be very old. Should really be re listed as it now has different owners I am told. The bedsheets were just... More

This establishment is under new management and I'm sad to say it is not being managed very well. There is only one member of staff who is woefully overworked although she tries her very best. The house has a neglected and run-down appearance and although it is selling itself as a guest-house/b&b now, it is really still a hostel. The... More

The coziest hostel I've ever stayed in, it felt rather like staying in your friend's house than in a hostel, all four of us felt so cozy that we took our shoes off and were walking around barefoot. The owners live on the first floor while the ground floor functions as a hostel. A lovely quiet location, only two minutes... More

We would recomand this hostel for young, flexible backpackers. Youghal is a nice small town, with a lovely beach, right outside the door of the evergreenhouse. Friendly people, very friendly people the ireish . Though, I have to say our stay at the hostel was so and so. You have to be very flexible towards noice from the crowded kichenette,... More

A great low cost option for travellers looking for value. Family rooms, doubles and a dorm plus a full kitchen and living room with TV. Garden has a BBQ and tables for guest use and best of all it is a 2 minute walk to the beach. Cork is a 30 min drive. Parking is available and the owners can... More
