Stayed here as it recommended by family. We were in room 4 at the back which had a double and single bed as well as a decent sized en suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the night away. Breakfast was more than enough, a lot of choice and great portion sizes.

Overall review good though think the price is a bit high for food and glasses of wine - tempranillo €8.20 a glass! I had fillet steak excellent! My husband had John Dory and it was overcooked and disappointing ,All other food was lovely.

We have been here many times for special occasions, and for sunday lunches and it has never failed to deliver. You can be sure that whatever you try here will be tasty. In general the menu consists of fairly hearty, rustic food with a wide range of quality desserts. Unfortunately there isn’t a great selection for vegetarians, but its the... More

My wife and I had the most enjoyable and relaxing lunch here recently. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was "to live for". Choices on menu were varied and seasonal and what was served more than lived up to expectation. Time between courses left us time to relax and enjoy the ambiance. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I was delighted to have the pleasure of eating at this fine establishment on Saturday night. I've eaten in loads of nice restaurants but the Olde Post is in a league of its own. On arrival we were welcomed by a member of staff and invited to sit and relax and have a drink in the reception area whilst waiting... More

This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in county Cavan. The setting and staff are all lovely and the food is just amazing. I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat. it is a little bit dearer than the norm but its well worth it.

Never heard of this place until a few days ago but it will be hard to forget. Nine of us sat to a variety of starters, mains and desserts and every one of us considered this a feast for the senses. Starters such as Bacon and Cabbage (yes as a starter ....who knew!!!) and scallops with black pudding or Crispy... More
