Clean, tidy, warm, friendly, peaceful. What else do you need. Spent a few unforgettable days here. Every care is forgotten within minutes . The car is over there. Do I really need to go driving ? No I don't. I'll just sit here with my book thank you. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was exactly the break... More

This campsite is amazing. On arrival, Kevin gave us a tour and and told us about the different camping options - woodland clearings for 'wild camping' (or privacy and protection from the wind) or the main campsite with easy access to facilities. There really is everything you need here (and more) - a shared cooker, 2 washing up sinks, washing... More

We stayed in Pure camping for two weeks in July/August. We had a brilliant time. The kids loved the freedom that a no car site brings and we loved the people we met, the pizza oven, the campfire and the general feeling at the site. It was all very relaxed and easy going (but with a pretty strict no noise... More

A friend mine told me about this place referring to it as a "hippy campsite" :) , so I decided to stay there on my cycle tour. It's not actually a place where hippy's hang out, but it has that kind of vibe I guess :) First thing I was welcomed by the owner who got me a discounted rate... More

We spent a wonderful long weekend in Purecamping. Kevin and Trea are great hosts. We enjoyed Kevin's "pizza class" and Trea's campers yoga. We had our dog with us as did many campers, but all were on leads and not disruptive. The campsite had a lovely welcoming feel to it, the facilities were very clean and ecofriendly, and the "inside... More

We went as a family on our holidays and we all loved it. Great to have the option of camping on the main site or 'wild camping'. The owners have gone to so much trouble to make the forest child friendly and ensure they don't get lost. The children made great friends and loved it. We loved sitting around the... More

First off a big thanks to Kev and Trea who were the perfect hosts , helpful and informative without being intrusive . The campsite itself is a casual , laidback one with a slightly hippy feel to it , set in a lovely setting on the Loop Head . It has a fine well stocked dining area , with pride... More

This is a really great place. It had been years since me or my wife had camped anywhere so going camping in the bell tents at purecamping was great. They were large and comfy. The campsite felt really safe and it was a short drive from Carrigaholt where we took an unbelievable dolphin watching tour. The vibe in the campsite... More

We stayed in mid-July - myself and three kids - and brought our own tent. I can't speak highly enough about the camp-site. My son (5) spent hours off playing with other children that he met on the site. With the dome (and large stack of lego), play area, and the secret den in the woods, there was loads to... More

This was our family's first experience of camping and we absolutely loved it. We opted to rent a furnished bell-tent with bedlinen so that we could dip our toe in the water without having to buy a lot of equipment. The tent was spacious, clean and comfortable. Also the very well equiped camp kitchen meant that we didn't need to... More
